Great sun shots, thanks a bunch. In overcast they look much darker than SSM, and in sunlight, they don't look much darker at all, even just one shade darker than color match. Wow.

I just saw your Encinitas sticker and those pine trees...are you at UCSD or Scripps?

If you could manage just one more shot of just one side showing the tire and fender flare to show off the backspacing, that's the last pic I would want. I'll be getting some aftermarket mud guards, and I am trying to get an idea of what I'll be dealing with.

One pic like the one on the left, here, would be perfect, and then another from the same perspective but from the rear of the truck looking forward, showing the rear mudguard.

Scocar, Here are the pics you were looking for I hope this helps. I am actually in Georgia right now but am from Carlsbad, hopefully I can get back to sunny California soon.

    Perfect! Awesome! Thanks!

I just bought Vin's last set of 5 matte gunmetals today, plan to pick them up Saturday moning if all goes well. Your specific pics, tires, and truck color helped me clarify my choice.

    They are 4.5".

Also, every time I look at the truck, I know I made the right decision going with the gunmetal. They definitely stand out compared to black wheels.

This is one of the reasons I ended up going this way too. The wheel design is subtle, and in all the pics I've seen, the black tends to make them disappear unless in direct sunlight, in my opinion.

Glad I could help you won't be disappointed with the wheels, or with Vin's customer service. On a side note make sure you get your wheels and tires balanced at a shop that can road force balance them. The Cooper's are really heavy so it takes some time to work the wobble out of the tires.

Thanks. I have an appointment with Vin Saturday morning. The wheel shop I use is excellent. A long time ago I brought in a balance problem another shop could not fix, and I asked these guys if they had the Haweka adapter and/or could roadforce balance. They said they could, but they probably didn't need to...and they were right. The Coopers are much beefier, heavier, and luggier than others I've used, so this has been in the back of my mind as a concern, but I have a ton of confidence in this shop's ability and techs.

Just ordered Matte Black F5's! They will be mounted on 255/85/16 KM2's. Will post pics as soon as they show.

I haven't taken any photos from those angles, but I can try to find some time this weekend.

Thanks bud. I'm in no rush. I've still got a few weeks before I'll be purchasing.

Trying to decide between 4.5 and 3.5 bs.

If you go with the 3.5" BS you'd better be comfortable with cutting on your truck, unless you stick with a smaller tire (265/75r16 or smaller).

Yeah with 3.5 BS and 255 tires there was very minimal cutting for me and only slight rubbing. Love the stance and it looks great!

Interesting. I'm running 285s and had a lot of rubbing/tire interference... I had to cut a chunk out just to drive around, and I can tell from looking at it that it's going to need more to get the tire to stuff. I may have to see if I can optimize the alignment a little better to bring the tire forward. I know the Icon UCAs add back some caster.

    True story.

The places where i rub are the front mud flaps and the front of the rear fender when stuffing the tires. Other than that everything fits nicely!
