About to pull the trigger on these and had a question, I'm going to be running 285/75/16's with these and need to know what everyone would recommend; either the 3.5BS or the 4.5BS.

Depends on your uppers. If you don't have JBAs, the 4.5s will be fine. If you have JBAs or any others that stick out farther than normal you'll need the 3.5

I've got the SPC/LR UCA, as they sit now they're close to the tire. Will probably go 3.5BS to be safe

You'd probably be safe with the 4.5 on those. But I'm not going to try to sway you any further from stance nation

So after laying around my house for about five months, I finally got these babies on to compliment the suspension swap. For the tires I went with Toyo Open Country M/Ts (285/75/17) and the lugs are the extended thread made by Gorilla. My wheels are 17x9 (3.5" backspacing and -38mm offset) and Matte Jet Black.

I'm running 285/75/16 now with 3in of lift. the pic is when I had 265/75/16 tires. I went with standard the backspacing for our stock rims. I also am running the Tundra brake swap with no problems

Oh, oh, got a question on the quote...I'm planning on the Pro lift that I have. For that lift, I bought the JBA uppers. Waiting on putting the rear overriders to come in. That said, if I put on 3.5's I'm in for a lot of cutting to massage away the rubbing? I was going to go with the 4.5's to minimize any issues, but now the JBA's are going to prevent that?

So check out their recommendations for sizes here:

    https://jbaoffroad.com/toyota/jba-std-high-caster-upper-a-arms-for-2005-toyota-tacoma.html

Then mentally subtract a quarter inch cause I think they did this with the wheels straight and never tried turning lol. You'll notice they have added a 315/70/17 suggestion to that page- that's a result of yours truly using their previous recommendation for "285 and up" and rubbing the hell out of the UCA.

But with 285/75/16s it looks like youll either need spacers or do 3.5 bs. The cutting off the can mount really isn't bad either. A sawzall melts through it pretty fast
