The 16 in FA16 represents the 16 holes in the design. For the last several years, we've noticed a major decline in 16" wheel sales. One of the reasons is most likely due to the lack of tire offerings from tire manufacturers. This has forced the consumer to upsize their wheels to 17s to have better tire options. Car manufactures are also coming out with trucks featuring monster caliper and rotor sizes requiring 17" and larger wheels to clear. It's been a domino effect causing us to make the decision to offer 17s only with new models. Our older wheel models in 16s will still be available.

Unfortunately no. The majority of our customer prefers our aggressive -10 and -38mm spec.

Maybe that could change if you made a +0mm 17' wheel

Not a chance. They would collect dust on the shelf.

Nothing with SCS on it "collects dust on the shelf". Most of their wheels don't even last a day or two on their site before selling out:rofl:

You do realize nearly every wheel that competitors like Method and Icon make in 17x8.5 are offered in 0mm offset right? Obviously SCS has seemingly done the research to know more than both of us but I’m curious why you think SCS’s would “collect dust on the shelf” when it is clearly the more popular option for Icon and Method.

The majority of people buying wheels for their trucks want poke and/or dish. Almost every time there is a set of wheels for sale that doesn’t list the offset, interest diminishes greatly when it’s revealed they are a zero ish offset.

I’m sure there are plenty of folks that want 0 offset but it is greatly outnumbered by the folks that don’t. No sense in producing something <5% (guessing) of the population wants. Higher demand equals less shelf time.

It is also possible that a limited run 0 offset wheel (less demand = less quantity) could actually cost more per wheel to produce which would mean less profit.

Yeah, I would love to see the numbers because I’m not sure they would align with what you’re saying, regarding people wanting 17’s in 0mm offset. Method and Icon have sold, and likely outsell SCS by a noticeable margin, albeit in large part because of their ability produce far more at a time. But again, there is likely a reason the main wheel size for both companies is 17x8.5 in 0mm for 6x5.5.

All I’m saying is that based on Icon and Method, two major players in the wheel game, a 17” wheel with 0mm offset would sell. If it wouldn’t I’m not sure those two companies would offer them. But again, I’m sure SCS has done the research and knows better than both of us as to why it wouldn’t be feasible. I would think the demographic between the method/icon wheel people and the SCS wheel people would carry over quite a bit though…

Will these fit 80 Series Land Cruiser? Concerned about center bores

Unfortunately, it will not be a direct fit due to the center cap design that tapers in. The lip in the centerbore would need to be machined out.

Any machine shop with a lathe can easily take care of it if you want to go the extra mile. Past 80 series owners have done it with the Ray10 and SR8 models for their rigs. Note that the center caps will no longer be usable.

Yea, not too big of a deal tbh. I actually have a friend who works at a machine shop. Just wanted to make sure beforehand.
Indeed lose the center cap but no worries.
    Thanks again!

This was done on the Ray10 so the final result should look somewhat like this. The shiny area in the centerbore was where it was bored out to the match the rest of the centerbore.
