PM sent. Hope I'm not too late! Is "starting a conversation" the same as a private message (PM)? Had to edit my message because I forgot to include what I wanted :annoyed:.

Need to spray some 303 after cleaning those tires and it's gonna pop out even more. Don't care much for bronze but that tan looks great with that color.

Actually, I have been informed that I too was incorrect. Or at the least behind the times.

Is this the first Tacoma we've seen them mounted, other than SCS?

    Check My Sig.
Alright, it's my turn to play!!!

I am really hoping that I made a good decision with the matte grey for my MGM. The bronze are looking sexy from the pics, I am just thinking they are a little dark for my liking.

The best part was that I told my room mate that I had "a package" coming if she could sign for it. Didn't mention what it was. I got a text that she couldn't lift them, but she signed like a motherfer... Made my day.

They're only 15 lbs each. What will happen when she has a kid to lift?

The wheels are 21.5lbs (16") or 24lbs (17") ... 15 lbs would be amazing, but not true.

Regardless, your point stands with regards to normal life stuff. 25lbs isn't that much weight to pick up.

Yea, I noticed the same thing too, nothing to be sorry about :). I just wanted to make sure no one saw that and was thinking these wheels were only 15lbs (which would be amazing). It's possible that SCS prints their own shipping labels and puts that in the form. I'm not really sure how shipping works for businesses, but I doubt they are taking it down to the UPS store and weighing it on their scale then getting a sticker printed.

Thank you everyone that participated in the Ray10 GB. I'm sorry we couldn't get everyone, but hopefully you'll be back to support SCS:thumbsup:.

The wheels by itself weighs 21.5lbs for the 16" and 24lbs for the 17". The amount of packaging material used to properly protect the wheels during shipping weighs a good amount. There's extra padding on the inside, the heavy duty box itself, and extra edge protectors all around plus the strapping material. They're not paper thin material so the weight adds up quickly. We don't take any shortcuts to save a few bucks. If we're going to produce a quality product, it needs to be protected well when it's traveling across the U.S. and world wide.

Even then I'm always weary that a wheel can still get damaged during shipping. Out of the thousands of wheels that we've shipped out, I think we've only had to file 2 insurance claims with UPS in the last 4yrs. These are the steps that we take to ensure that when a customer spends $800 on a set of wheels, they receive them in the proper condition.

Btw, it would be a nightmare for us to drop the wheels off at a UPS store, lol. We get a daily UPS pickup and do about 1 truck load per day. The UPS man hates us when our wheels are in stock:rofl:.

These wheels look so clean and fresh. I love my stealth 6's but if these were out when I bought I would have gone ray10. Great job Vin!

So uh ... don't take this the wrong way (let me finish!) ... but usually I make fun of white trucks. You know, coz all work trucks are white, so most white trucks to me, even when lifted, just look like modified work trucks.

You win though. That white truck is awesome. Maybe it's because the Tacoma went back to these black flares, and that gives the white truck a little more aggressiveness, or maybe it's just the overall styling of the 3rd gen growing on me ... but whatever it is, your truck changed my mind about white trucks! That looks badass! Perfect wheel:lift ratio!

Also, a lot of people will say to black out the grill ... but I think it looks good with the chrome headlights and the bit of chrome on the mirrors and the chrome Tacoma badge ... so I guess if you decided to black it out you'd need to black it all out, but I dunno, sometimes blacked out stuff gets a bit overboard. The designers at Toyota do kind of have a method to their madness, and there is a bit of cohesiveness to the overall styling ... the dark chrome grill and other shiny bits look good to me.

... Also, god damnit, you all are killing me. I really have this logical side of me saying, "go with the Falken A/T3W .. it's 10lbs lighter, the P load 4 ply will be more comfortable on these shit SE Michigan roads and you'll have better gas mileage for your 60mile daily commute, they look aggressive enough, and besides you maybe go off road once a month and it's nothing that the stock tires have ever even had a problem with" ... and then I see more pics of these BFG's and the lustful emotional side of me says, "gawt'dam, those looks badass, must have." So thanks a lot ... I'll probably end up with big badass tires that kill my gas mileage, but every time I look at it I'll go, "totally worth it!":burnrubber:

    Are those the 265/75r16 E or 275/70r16 D?
