Got an email from Vin about regards to the next shipment...he is forecasting another shipment in mid June and possibly late July. Gives me some time to save up. It is cool that he was able to communicate with me though within a decent window.

I bought the Stealth 6's when they came out. I was thinking about selling them to get the Ray 10's. When on line when they were first put up for sale. The only Ray10's available were 16's. Now this is just my opinion and I know Vin did away with a waiting list. The way I think it should be done is should be able to purchase them now from him and pay the full amount that way you are guaranteed to get a set. And if you decide to back out you lose half the cost of the wheels. This way all these wheels businesses are not buying them up. And Vin would still make money on customers if they chose to back out. Just like ordering custom parts. You pay up front and back out you don't get all your money back. This will prevent guys from putting there name on the list and then backing out.

I'm getting conflicting info from their parts dept. One guy says they have grey, black and bronze. Another guy said they'll have more by 5/22??? All my communication has been via email. Oh well, I can wait for the next batch from Vin...or the next design...or keep rocking my Stealth 6s.

I called them today and parts guy said they were sold out of gunmetal 17" ray 10's.

This by far would be the most fair way to sell these wheels. The way it's done now is only going to discourage people more and more as they get their carts swiped over and over every time there's a stock update. Internet speeds are not uniform and those that enjoy faster speeds and thus quicker listing of stock have a huge advantage. I was refreshing scs site every 5 seconds ten minutes before the last stock update. So I had wheels in my cart within a couple seconds of update only to have my cart swiped while I checked out. I know this happened to a bunch of people. There is no "being faster" at the keyboard. This just doesn't work.

Gotcha. This is the same info I received, and color I was looking for.
The shipping quote I was given for a set of the other colors was a bit outrageous.

What did they quote you for shipping on two wheels?

They quoted me $225 for 4, which I feel is way overpriced. But they don't have the color I'm looking for so its kind of a mute point.

When I sold my TRD Wheels I was comparing quotes on shipping. Pending on where they where being shipped that is not far off. The first potential buyer was in Florida and I am in Washington and it was a bit more than that. Killed the deal. I eventually found a buyer who was able to ship them for less and he paid for the shipping. Win Win ymmv though.

Vin charges just over $100 to ship a set of wheels to me in GA. I was using that price point as my frame of reference for my statement.

I would expect a dealer to be able to secure better shipping rates. I agree that the quote from the dealership is somewhat accurate for what a private individual would expect to pay if they were shipping a set of wheels.
