Finally got some time to put mine on today along with my Mobtown Offroad sliders. Now I just need to find time to put the roof racks on.

I already bought the B.A.M.F. CMC plates (haven't cut yet thought), looking to run 285/75/17 on SCS Ray10s, are you saying you think I'd need new UCAs too? I have the OME kit with 886s and Dakars but stock UCAs. Haven't bought the rims or the tires yet so I'm still open to suggestions. Also considered the 34x10.5/17 KO2s (but they're pricey) and 255/85/16s because I don't really need an 11"+ wide tire.

I like the idea of getting some bigger M/Ts and some aftermarket rims for wheeling and using my stock steelies for some A/Ts

Went with my original choice in wheels and they sent me lugs, so I've got these ET ones if any one wants them. $45 shipped
    IMG_0062.jpg
They're the Amazon ones, don't want to lose money because of shipping. Hence the slightly higher price. Otherwise I'll just return them. Thanks!

Boom, I won't list all the suspension shit I did today. All that matters for THIS thread is that the wheels and tires are on! FYI people: dont drop your lug key on the wheel, i already have a ding by my valve stem :annoyed:

Wheels are Ray10 matte bronze 17".
Tires are Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/75/17 aka 34". Yes, CMC. Yes, cut fenders front & rear on the front axle. Yes, hammered the pinch weld.

Looks good! I got the same size tires and didnt have to cut as much as you did. maybe alignment numbers are different? Is your caster set close to 4 degrees?

    He has a TRD Pro..

It didn't matter if you're up 3" on Rays with 285s on the third gen. Prepare to cut/hammer.

Why is that? The offset or back spacing? Good to know as I'm waiting for new shipments like everyone else. I bought methods in the meanwhile and minimal rubbing on the mud flaps.

Got my 285/70/17's to clear with just under 1.5" of thread showing on my king coils. Not sure what this translates in terms of lift, but I'm about 24.5" from center of hub to wheel fender. Can probably lower it even another 1/4" to 1/2" and still get clearance, which I may do. I think the key was getting the alignment done with the 2.5 + degree caster so it pivots forward as I'm turning. image.jpg

Stock OR measurements are 21" front, 22" rear.

I was at 2.6°, 24"/25", and still catching on 285/75/16.

Got it good to know my lift - 3.5" up front. Just adjusted a few days ago, so maybe I'll settle down a little. My caster is at 2.2 degrees. My tires convert to a 32.7" and your 285/75/16 converts to a 32.8". So not much of a difference. But I'm thinking if I can even lower an inch in the front and I'll clear. I'll try that soon and let you know. What's your lift up front ?

I cut before alignment so it was at stock figures. Probably not the best plan but I didn't want to chew up new tires while I waited for an alignment. Its just plastic

I came on to this site to learn some things about my truck and to get a few ideas about some accessories and a few minor mods that i could do to my truck. I never thought I needed or wanted to spend $700 + shipping on a set of ray 10's, well a year and a half later I now own a set of them, I can't wait to see what else I'll need or want for my truck inthe next few years. Hopefully I'll be able to take most of the things I installed to transfer to the next truck or be able to sell the parts to recoupe some of the money.

I had 2.25 inches over stock with about 3/4" of thread showing on mine. I would guess you are about 3 inches of height at a minimum. That's a good amount of threads for kings. I have 285s and at this height you can clear easily for road driving...but if you cycle your suspension, I bet money you rub at angles.
