I'd rather have potential customers angry they can't get my product than actual customers angry that the product I sold them doesn't meet standards

Eh I'm not too worried, if I see the same color wheels and truck then ya I'll let that person know there poser ways. Hate copycat builds. Used to happen to my roommate all the time and right before I left last base 2 super white's with the same wheel and tire setup as mine. I know I know it's a form of flattery, but to me its lame. Most people are impatient, I waited patiently for months for mine to be in stock like many here, most will run out and buy some fuels/methods rather than wait.

I can't stand that non sense. You do realize millennials are the most educated, most tolerant, most caring/community service oriented and non materialistic generation right? If you ever take a marketing class you will quickly see though millennials tend to want to feel "special or recognized" from the way are parents raised us we are hardly the generation that should be getting the most flack. Baby boomers and gen x on the other hand, oh weird isn't that the generation that currently has led this country to where its at now...back to the wheel thread.

Could be, but also from a business sense its completely warranted. Since Vin's stock has sold out in less than a minute for the last 4 cycles on ray10s alone...can you imagine the amount of capital if they could of had the ability to satisfy these customers from the four waves in one...or make it have enough product for 5 min of availability online instead of seconds?

From my discussions alone with Vin, he knows he is def limiting himself with this process. With that being said, they are in a growing phase to hopefully make this process better in the long run. Keep in mind though, Vin has already tried the preorder process before and people at the time just didn't want to wait and many flaked instead of just waiting out the orders. So to make things fair, he has gone this route until a better logistical support system can be established.

Since Im getting some suspension upgrades I don't mind waiting for now and hopefully sometime next year I can look into some matte gray wheels as they are nice, but I fear my internet will not help me secure the wheels I want in time. If we could lobby for a small preorder, I would jump on it in a second, but I don't think that is an option considering Vin's past with that.

I like the logic if I pay full price for a set of wheels then that guarantees me my set that when he receives them they are mine. Just my opinion.

I will agree there is quite a divide between the generations. I myself am close to a millennial, but slightly outside of the age range. My theory for most millenials is the environment has created the product that they are. When I graduated, it was starting to get challenging to find a job, but after a few months things worked out. But for the guys behind me that were just starting college I really could feel for them because the markets are getting saturated with workers and the old guys not wanting to retire when expected as some didn't want to live the family life, have funds for retirement, etc. which limits the small guys coming in.

For example from a Navy contractor sense, many of the ship business is going to have some hardship transitioning from 80 year old peeps to forced fresh faces with little to no experience because the hiring process got freezed up due to people not moving on. So in this case two generations of worker are affected, the millennial (new guy) and the middle group (slightly older than mine) as we will have some experience, but didn't get a healthy transition of experienced guys to cycle for others to move up causing some big shoes to fill whether we like it or not.

Back at the millenials...they should be the most qualified, because ALL they have known is competition. The guys from the 80s-90s had it easy in the hiring process, rent and family could be done with one person, etc. It wasnt until around 2010 that things really started to get grim from a job perspecitve and the economy had enough time to hit key markets. Millenials have to compete to not just get a job, but experience at this point because again the market is saturated and they have to prove they are the top ten percent. It is sad when I see a good guy looking for a job, but due to others that were hired at a time when jobs were plentiful, we are turning him away when he would be the valedictorian of our company because the environment has forced them to achieve this just to be taken seriously.

As far as material possession is concerned, how could they consider having stuff when so much of their career and experience has been very unpredictable? Like I said, I experienced the smaller end of this feeling before getting my job, but besides my "toys" I too am fearful of having a house right now or a permanent place as I don't want to be locked down and "stuck."

I know many millenials grew up in the "call of duty" generation where some gamed instead of the traditional outside play as a kid. Don't kid yourself they have likely had it harder with more expectations in classes due to technology, GPAs increasing for school entry as well as job requirements, and that struggle for decent experience that an employer can invest in when there are 20 others like them with one position available.
