I haven't yet! I've been patiently...impatiently waiting. I found the S6 roll-out forum and you guys were just as evil. Tell the world months in advance, put the masses in a frenzy, and then make them wait.

Found 'em: http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-9274. I didn't appreciate they were a Toyota cap.

 

I wish I had a magic button to press to make everything appear when I need them to, but business doesn't always work that way. There are things we can control and there are certain elements that are out of our hands.

The purpose of the S6 thread and this SR8 thread was to share the whole process and experience with what's involved in designing and bringing a wheel to the market.

We're about 2.5wks away from starting our GB. We could have easily started one months ago and hold your money hostage, but we don't operate like that. Once we know our container ships out, it will put us in a better position to please the customers as far as wait time is concern.

Since I'm going to redo my bedcage in July I'm going to get the SR8 and slightly notch my frame to clear as opposed to getting the F5.

Looking forward to the GB price, count me in day 1

I completely understand that. I work on the BD side of a natural gas pipeline company. My group does nothing but M&A and grassroots investment projects. Most of the deals we attempt end in failure. We don't get to the right price, our investment capital is to high, or we lose the deal to a competitor. It's just the nature of business. What you guys are doing is way cool. I don't know how many people are involved, but I'm guessing that your business model has worked. You have a niche product that has been well received. Have you got a fourth wheel in mind that I'll want more than this one?

 

2.5 weeks looks like a damn good timeline to get the wheels before my 4th of July vacation

Where they are made wouldn't change my mind at this point.

Searched but couldn't find a definite answer. Tpms will work with these wheels right? All I found was info on the valve stem angle

 

I asked that same question and the OP said yes as London as you have alloy. Steel TPMS have a different angle.

 

The SR8s are made in Thailand.

 

Correct, if you currently have alloy wheels, the TPMS will transfer right over without any issues.

 

I think waiting on the weekend is the worst. During the week I have lots of other things to ponder. Just went to the SCS website and now the 6's are sold out. They were my top choice until I saw the 8.

Planning on getting a set of SR8 wheels in matte bronze. They really look sweet Vin.

So I know these wheels will fit my 2012 stock TRD offroad suspension. I also know from reading on the site that 265/75r16 tires will fit on my stock offroad alloys.

My question is does anyone know how much, if any rubbing will occur with these wheels and 265/75r16 tires on the stock offroad suspension?

 

You'll need to remove your mud flaps and do some minor liner trimming to provide some extra clearance. Both issues are very easy to take care of. Put the wheels/tires on and you'll know exactly where to trim/cut after a little drive.
