Nothing crazy but I finally got my tubing bender set up. I had 1 piece of tubing left over from when I built the front bumper the first time. I figured it was the perfect piece to use as the new top tube of the bumper. Did some measuring, marked it up, decided on a 30* bend. Got it right the first time. That’s what’s up.

A little bit of progress on the bumper. Made the lower supports and 2 supports to reinforce the top tube to the shock towers.

I need to add supports on my bumper like that. I had to winch it back out to normal HARD after I flopped

Previously had a bumper that looked almost like this new one (I’m aiming for the same style). Didn’t have any supports like I just added. Broke it. Ran it into a wall while crawling. Didn’t even know it was bending. It was touching my tire. Had to winch it out and it snapped off.

Pulled it out of the garage to let it get some sunshine. Will build stinger for the bumper next.

A friend of mine does replica vinyl decals and used my truck as a test mule. Also finally got some front blinkers installed and bolted on to the front grille.
Got a new built 8.4 from ECGS. Great turn around time. Truck drives great with the Detroit back there. Found out the old pinion gear had a couple sheared teeth. Pretty much what I expected.

    LOL.
I might buy another ring and pinion and try my hand at gear setup. Would be nice to have a spare diff around.

Yeah I’m all for investing in the tools especially if I can use it to make money down the line. I just didn’t have the funds to invest in them this time. Needed to get the Tacoma back up and running so I could get my Tundra to the body shop.

That’s on the short list of tools to acquire.
