sd card

Just brought home a new 2019 Tacoma. The navigation does not work. Time does not work. Message says no SD card contact the dealer. Is there an aftermarket SD program card that might be better than the factory. How do i get an SD card? Where is it located. tnx Dave

 

Depends what the radio number is, the 510103 had the SDcard located at the bottom right under a flap. It’s a micro SD card. The 5104 is a JBL with the card location in the same place. 510161 same place, and if you have a 510163 it doesn’t have nav. If you do have the flap plush in the card to release it and reinstall it to see if it comes back to life. If not you can’t really check the card on a computer as it will not read. Toyota wants over $100 for the card but it can be had cheap off Amazon or evilbay if you want to go that route. If the time doesn’t work then you might have a bigger problem as the time picks it updates off the nav system via the shark fin antennae. If you just bought this and it was some dealer or car lot take it back and have them fix it as you have 30 days.
