SDHQ is proud to announce the release of our own set of Rock Sliders for the 2016-Current Toyota Tacoma Double Cab Long Bed. Sticking to a well earned reputation for craftsmanship, we chose to build these rock sliders out of 4130 chrome-moly tubing with gusseted steel mounting plates ensuring that these are both the strongest and lightest rock sliders on the market. These rock sliders are CAD designed and built in house for a precise fit and finish. Our rock sliders use a unique mounting design that is intended to be a fully bolt on design that reaches the entirety of the slider, so there is no cutting, welding or drilling required for install and there is no permanent frame modifications required. All mounting hardware is included with the purchase of your SDHQ Built Sliders

    FEATURES:

    • Fits 2016-Current Double Cab Long Bed Toyota Tacoma
    • Durable 4130 .120” wall Chromoly tubing with gusseted steel mounting plates for durability
    • No cutting, drilling or welding is required for install
    • No permanent modification to the frame is required
    • Unique mounting design made specifically for the Toyota Tacoma
    • Slider is supported at the very front and back to ensure no weak areas
    • Just as strong as a welded slider
    • 5 mounting points along the frame
    • Works with body mount chops
    • CAD designed for a precise fit and finish
    • High strength grade 8 hardware included
    • Raw and powder coated finishes available

Do you folks have some more photos of how far these extend towards the front and back wheel wells? Or to know the overall length of these.

From the front, it does start at the same point as the fender itself and ends roughly an inch or two before the rear wheel well. Exposed slider measurement is roughly 100 inches

Do you have any shots from the underside- with them mounted? This is a very interesting design.

How far do they stick out from the truck? Is it enough to use them as a step as well?

Would you say that is 12.5" about to the outside of the outer tube?

And are they flat or angle up towards the cab? Like, stepable?

i just measured to the truck side of the inner tube, sorry i didn't know exactly what you were looking for, but i can do it again later if you want. mine are angled 5deg up. they are pretty tight to the cab and not very effective for steps unless you can grab your toes on it w/o slipping, which i wouldn't recommend.

That's fine. Don't waste your time, thanks for what you posted. My truck doesn't see much hardcore use, just want essentially a heavy duty step that is frame mounted for a wtf moment that isn't going to damage the cab but an okay step for puppies and small kids, roof and bed access. Was attracted to these for them being quite a bit lighter than most DCLB sliders. It's challenging trying to find the right thing. Might just have to make something myself. Thanks again.

For what you want check out https://greenlaneoffroad.com/16-tacoma/tacoma-hybrid-aluminum-sliders . Lightweight aluminum sliders. They also have a more step like option as well
