^^ That was the way I used it, turned my neighborhood into a smoke show for several minutes as I drove around after the treatment.

Sorry, don't see the connection between carbon on a piston crown and cleaning fuel injectors. GM has been selling a very effective combustion chamber cleaner since the 1960's - but it is a solvent not a detergent. It worked wonders on my high compression motors and even our 2002 Z-28 - but it doesn't do much for fuel injectors.

At my 25k oil change for my 2014 v6 Tacoma I checked the oil on the dipstick two nights before I planned to do the oil change. It looked fairly new, mostly gold in color. That night I poured in 5oz of SeaFoam into the crankcase as instructed on the can. Drove it to work and back (30 mile rt) and did the oil change the following morning. The oil was like straight black. I'm guessing the SeaFoam cleaned out some stuff gunked up in the engine?

The detergents likely broke loose some crud in the system.

I get their "may" be a benefit to using this on much older vehicles (10yr plus). But why even bother using this on a vehicle that is a few years old and only has under 100K miles?

I use this gadget when using Seafoam. It turns the liquid into a vapor like substance before it goes in the vacuum line.
Seafoam really helps some older cars I have worked on. Like others said not so much on newer vehicles in my experience.

ive used it in everything. Used the spray into the air intake. Poured it into the vacuum tube. Put it in oil before oil changes. Put it in gas. Also used the lucus treatment. Who knows if it works.. I just use it because it gives me peace of mind. Same reason I use synthetic oil and lucas oil stabilizer in everything.

I'm a big fan in BG products, mad used them for many years when I worked at a place where I had a connection.

As far as the Seafoam, I had just poured it in the fuel tank of my Camry when I had that oil burning issue.

Just a bunch of old crap
I just used a full can of BG 44K in a full tank of 92 octane, and HOLY COW. My truck has 206k miles on it, never had a single fuel injector service. I did run a Seafoam treatment a couple years ago that seemed to do some good, but nothing like the BG. Within 50 miles, I had amazing throttle response improvement. By the end of the tank, the truck drove like new. I used to have some serious hesitation when I had the AC on and going up hills or having to smash the gas pedal, but this stuff did amazing things. Never threw a code, never had a single hiccup with the motor. No smoke came out like with Seafoam, and now I have the smoothest idle ever and I gained 1.2MPG back, even with my RTT and rack installed. I'm rather impressed and will be using this stuff in the future.

+1 for 44k. Expensive and can only find it at our local Toyota Dealership.

Understood. Man after having fuel injection, I would never won't to back to a carburetor. Again, beautiful bike. I've only seen one of those around our parts, but it's not that clean.
