The one coming out of the brake booster - that black circular thing on the firewall in front of the driver. Unplug the line going into the booster with the motor on, put a small screwdriver in the throttle body lever to keep rpms around 2000 rpm and then SLOWLY feed the Seafoam into the line via a small funnel of small cup.

don't use that hose! it only feeds one cylinder...at least on the 3.4's...theres a hose between the TB and intake plenum (I think it comes from the pass. side PCV) use that hose. It will feed all the cylinders...again for the 3.4's, dunno about the 2.7's...

That's the one I did. If you take your throttle body off you will see the hole from that hose is directly behind the throttle plate and will for sure feed all cylinders

I think it feeds only two on the 2.7 but not sure.

my question is are you supposed to put your foot on the gas while you pour it in ?(don't let the vacuum hose suck it in from the bottle)

no need to increase the throttle. the vacuum from the hose alone will be enough. just pour it in the hose slowly

YES! this stuff is great. It cleans out the carbon and oil build up in the intake. Oil and carbon comes from the pcv and egr systems. Simply pour it into the vacuum line while the truck is running. When the can is empty turn the truck off and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Then start it up and go for a drive and prepare to piss the neighbors off cause its gonna smoke like hell! You WILL notice a smoother idle and acceleration. You can also run it in the fuel system to clean injectors and in the oil to clean sludge.

thank you for all the help and the pic, though the discussion of weather or not it will go into all the cylinders is an intresting one and may lead to finding a different solution on my 2.7, as to when to add seafoam to the oil or gas, im going to assume that the gas you shold have a almost full tank, but the oil, just prior to a oil change or just after?

I'm not a first genner but I've used seafoam in all of my trucks (ford, chevy, dodge) and have always had a positive experiance with it. I've only ever put it in the brake booster hose but am curious about it only feeding some of the cylinders.

Extra note: I've heard from mechanics to NOT do the tranny seafoam unless you're about to do a major flush because it'll break down the ATF.

this pic is from another forum but you'll see why not to use the brake booster line as it only feeds one cylinder...this hose connects from the PCV

I used a bottle for the vacuum hose that goes to all cylinders as indicated in this forum - that was excellent advice, by the way. I like the idea that the sea foam will reach all cylinders via the intake - not just one.

And aerosol (harder to find in Sea Foam) for the air intake side of the throttle body. The seafoam aerosol comes with a long red nozzle so that you can open the butterfly and spray into the IAC port. I am still debating about taking the throttle bottle housing completely off so that I can give the IAC a more thorough cleaning - the Toyota pickups should start with one crank rotation of the engine. At least the 22RE did.

Maybe this is typical for the 2RZ to require more cranks to start? I normally would not have to touch the gas pedal to start the 22RE. What is the ultimate smooth starting trick on the 2RZ? I think it's cranking too many times to start and I have heard that a dirty IAC can cause this. More cranking is required when the engine is hot.

    None yet. Just got it...
    How about for a 2rzfe?
I put some Lucas in the fuel tank and didn't get much out of it. No power difference or change in operation.
