They make a spray version of the original Seafoam, but it is twice as expensive as the bottle and you get about 2/3 as much. I have been using Seafoam religiously since 1993 when the owner came into our parts store and demo'd it. I use it in everything from my weedeaters to my diesel powered water pumps. When I get ready to put something up for an extended period, I usually spray them down, on the diesel pump and tractor, I remove the fuel filter and refill it with Seafoam and let it run for a few minutes then shut them down, yet to have a problem getting one started the following season.

I used it once and noticed subtle but immediate results, pretty cool. Clawing at the back of my mind though is my charcoal canister failed 6 months later. Coincidence... almost certainly, but one of those things that makes you wonder.

I've never felt comfortable pouring seafoam into a line. I use to pour it into a normal spray bottle, remove the throttle body and spray it into the intake and let it sit for 15 mines while I put everything back together.

After they released the areasol version I just bought that and hooked the loop over the throttle body and sprayed a little at a time.

Both methods gave the same results. Huge amounts white smoke for about 10 mins.

Just be sure to change the oil afterward and DO NOT put this in you oil for any reason

Ive done it in the hose that "only goes to 1 cylinder", gas, and in the oil. idled a lot smoother and brought my throttle response back, plenty of white smoke. Changed my head gaskets shortly after and everything looked spotless on the inside. Id disconnect my cat if you can before doing this

Soooo, lemme see if I have this right (with some ?'s) using a bottle for a 3.4..
    1. I'm assuming let the truck warm up.
    2. Pull off the pcv line leaving the end connected to the intake.
    3. Slowly "pour" the seafoam into the line until empty then reconnect line.
    4. Turn the truck off and let sit 15 min.s
    5. Drive around. But for how long? Until it stops smoking?
    6. For fuel treatment, pour a SECOND bottle to a full tank? Run it as low as possible until refilling.. (And should fuel treatment be done before intake treatment or after, or at the same time ,or does it matter??)
    7. Change oil.
    8. Any kind of treatment to clean cat. converter out?
(I watched a video of a guy taking his cat. converter off and soaking it overnight in, I think it was dish soap or laundry detergent or something(lol) to clean it out. Wondering if this would actually work!? Anyone here of this? Ha.)

I think my cat is bad anyways, seeing as I popped the code. But I installed the urd o2 simulator a while ago. So will this be clogging it even more and possibly making it worse? And yes yes I know, get a new cat. Or o2 sensors. But ain't nobody got time, well in this case $, fo' dat!
Btw I've cleaned out the IAC before. Taken it apart and sprayed it out with MAF cleaner and it worked like a charm.. and it needs it again. But can someone clarify to us noobs to vacuum systems what all this runs through and cleans in the system? Will the seafoam clean the iac too?

No don't use the whole bottle in the intake line... its only recommended to use 1/3 in each i.e. intake, gas and crankcase. I also dumped a little into a glass bowl and slowly sucked it out with the hose. also if you suspect your cats going bad it will definitely be bad after you sea foam it or it definitely won't be any better ha ask me how I know....

Well, maybe I'll just wait. Till I can afford the cat and sensors if I need those. Ugh I was getting excited. She needs a cleaning.

If you could unbolt your cat you'd be fine haha just unbolt it and pull your sensors off then do it
