I was hesitant at first when I added it to my 149,000 mile Tacoma. I'm glad I did though. It seems to have "sharpened" the engine up quite a bit. Before my truck seemed sluggish but now it is much more responsive. Thanks for convincing me all on the forum. Well worth the six bucks and change. We shall see if the mpg responds at all.

Update on mpg. Went from 18.6 to 19.2 I just replaced my oxygen sensors so we shall see if another small increase occurs.

I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.
well i dont know how much you put in your oil, about every 6 months I would put one can in the gas tank and then fill up,
and about once a year I would only put one can in get the motor warm (run for about 20mins) then change the oil.
and of course fog once a year.

    and i came across this

just did a seafoam treatment on my s/c 3.4 and when i went to restart it almost immediately blew the superchargers belt. hard belt to find in a day so the truck has to sit overnight being that this belt also drives the alternator. the belt was probably on its way out anyway but just wanted to put it out there to be carefull or take the belt off during the fogging procedure.

Well since this thread got bumped, I thought I might as well ask a question. Will running seafoam in my gas tank and oil foul my spark plugs? I just changed them right before I hit 60,000 miles so I don't really want to change them again if I don't have to. I am not planning on running it through the vacuum lines btw.

    Piggy backing on ffirg's question:

If I seafoam, will there be anything I need to do to other components after the fogging procedure?

ie change spark plugs, clean MAF, clean throttle body, change sensors, etc?

And does it clog your cat converter up at all?

I don't think I'll ever touch the stuff. I just went through my entire intake system and under the valve covers. Its fairly clean considering I have 150k. I used a bottle of Techron 500 miles prior to doing this so that may have helped a bit.

I'll stick to clean fuel from now on and a bottle of Techron concentrate every so often. It also saves me the retarded smoke show.

Seafoam for dummys, Just run it into your throttle body when you clean your MAF and air filter.

Be generous with it.. spray the hell out of the inside of your throttle body and if are inclined, take it off and clean the backside as well.

I smokes like Seafoam and cleans it just the same without the risk of damage.

Lol. I honestly thought it would be cool when I first considered Seafoam... Then I thought about all the neighbors and random people I'd dust in smoke while thinking my truck was broke lol.

man, the first time I used seafoam was years ago on my mustang gt, and my building had a parking garage.... did not know how bad it could or would smoke, it was tooooo funny, needless to say, I put my stuff up fast and got the hell out of there.
just go out to a big parking lot, walmart, near open road or highway, thats what I do now, I call it a smoke n go!
