Seafoam is good for occasional light cleaning of the fuel system and intake valves (port injection). I use it myself, occasionally. Put it in your gas tank only.
If your intake manifold is so dirty that it's affecting driveability, you have bigger problems. So don't bother with the intake manifold application.

I've used it via the throttle body a few times, never had any issues come from it. The spray can they make is better suited for this though. Either have a friend sit in the truck and hold the RPMs a little over 1k, or use a brick or something just heavy enough to hold the pedal at 1K RPMs. Trans in neutral and parking brake on, obviously

This will keep the throttle body valve open just enough to let the Seafoam spray pass through and do it's job, if you keep the RPM's too low ( < 1000) then the spray will just run back out the other way and into your air filter (don't ask how I know).

I haven't heard that you should redline your motor following the treatment, I've never done that and I won't do it but to each their own.

There are better fuel system cleaners to run through the fuel tank if that's what you're looking for, such as BG44k. It's pricey but it actually does what it claims, however if your injectors are truly in need of cleaning then the best way is to remove them and clean them using the same product.

Wait, so I can add sea foam to my brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and a/c, and it’ll just make everything better?

    Sweeeeeet!!!!

I may even just add it to my cereal every morning too

I use seafoam in everything with the carburetor. My two stroke boat motor loves it. To pour it in the gas tank, I don't know. I use Chevron techron in the black bottle. It comes in two different sizes that I've seen I get the one for 20 gallon tank. Pour one in the gas tank every oil change..

I have added Seafoam monthly for many years to my fuel tank at the pump just before filling up. It helps to remove any water that may have gotten in to the tank. It cleans the fuel system and the injectors. I also hear what everyone says about running premium fuel, which I do along with Mobile One oil. I have an '05 Taco with 201k and an '04 Explorer with 252k and my engines run great with no noticeable loss of power. Add it to your tank unless you have higher mileage and have done nothing before and are having issue such as dirty injectors. Preventive maintenance comes in many forms.

I've added it to previous vehicles. Through vaccum/fuel tank/oil. Saw a ton of carbon cleared out. Never noticed any seat power gains or fuel mileage improvement. I'm no seafoam expert so I cant say it's going to hurt anything but I also don't think you're going to have any real/noticeable improvements

I have used Seafoam with success mixed with the gas and sprayed into older carbureted outboards and small engines. I have used other top engine cleaners like this with questionable benefit, directly, SLOWLY into carbureted and throttle body engines. I have not and would not siphon it through a vacuum hose into any engine, especially to the point of stalling it. It is old stuff with not much in it to stabilize modern fuels and has no benefit, that I know of, with ethanol fuels. On that subject, I just poured into my truck, 5 gallons of non-ethanol fuel from September 2015. It mixed with about a half tank of regular pump gas. The old stuff was stabilized with Pri-G for storage. It smelled like the day it was pumped and ran fine. That stuff works. I use non ethanol fuel in all outdoor power equipment and generators unless it is an emergency. Then I'll run through the non-ethanol as soon as I can. I always add a small amount of Marvel Mystery Oil and red Stabil to all pump gas for four stroke equipment and have not had fuel related problems in a long time.

SeaFoam works great in my snow blower and lawn mower so I just put a can in my Taco tank.
    Results to follow....:rimshot:

I have used sea foam twice in my ‘13 4.0 with 115,000 miles. Didn’t notice much after the first use but after the second the cold engine idle speed dropped about 125 rpms. Good or bad, you decide. I’m okay with lower.

My ‘13 was knocking pretty bad for a while and I used the seafoam spray in the throttle body, poured (as directed) into the manifold, and added it to my gas tank. After following the instructions and having someone hold 2000 rpms u til the spray can runs out, then letting it hot soak for 30min, I went and parked in a deserted lot and pushed a lot of gunk out. Got the oil changed about 500mi later (she was due) and the knocking has since stopped.

I didn’t like the sound of the seven dwarves under my hood while sitting at stop lights, and this method worked just fine for me.

Skip using any kind of tube air brake line valve whatever’s and just follow the directions on the cans. You’ll be fine I promise.
