You don’t need an adapter if you just use the stock oil filter.

Are you talking about the ring (# 15710) under the oil filter that feeds the oil cooler?

Image below shows how it comes apart and the seals needed.

    Seal # 15710B and # 90201-25007.

I had a vehicle with an oil filter adapter, think it was possibly an aftermarket add on by a previous owner. It leaked. What worked for me was to take it off, remove the gasket, replace the gasket, put it back together. For a replacement gasket, the stock oil filter gasket fit perfectly. It pulls off fairly easily. I just saved the gasket from a used filter.

17377589284682497302052877738951.jpg This is all the seal is. I believe the diagram that the fine sir sent me above. Maybe exactly what I need or is the actual part. But I cannot get this stupid thing off. I'm wondering if I need to take part that has the threads that you actually screw the filter onto, I wonder if that is a nut that I need to remove.

Thank you very much Jimmyh. I believe this is what I need and what I just said in my last post is I see on the diagram that I think that's what it is.The the threads that you actually screw the filter on right below that it's connected to a nut that I need to remove. And I didn't realize that before I believe that is my issue of why I'm stuck. I really think all of you guys for your quick responses in helping me with this issue. I will see post back whether it's fixed or not. I am pouring out oil. When the vehicle is running and I'm almost 99% certain that this is where it's coming from. It's definitely coming in the front and it's up high and the other things that are up here are the valve and the timing, but that wouldn't leak as much oil as I'm leaking. To be continued, thank you guys again very much!!

Now I'm concerned, though, with the diagram that you posted jimmyh. Due to17377593937782141407379588775018.jpg the part number that you have and the part number they gave me is 15692. I think the way they wrote it on here is super weird.

Looks like the oil cooler gasket to me.
The number in jimmys diagram is not an actual part #.
    It’s a reference number.

The number that the guy at the dealership gave me, or he hand wrote it on there. Whether that's accurate or not. I'm not sure, but he handwrote 15692- 31010

But I do see what you're referring to as well on his diagram, the little line that goes from the the adapter down to the seal, there's a a number on the line, obviously, that's not a part, so I guess you could be right that they are all just reference numbers. I'm not sure.

I typically use a bit of thread locker on filter bolts. (small engines)
Just because I can, I did, and HOLY CRAP......

    50 ft/lb for the bolt?

Maybe that's why they don't say use.

@Dm93 can you check your specs?
Just to makes sure my info is correct?

My data says he gave you the seal for the NON-Oil cooler truck.
So you would be right. It's NOT the correct seal.

Damn-it. Is that included in the diagram that you just sent? Or did you look that up somewhere else?
