Has anyone come up with a way to seal the corners of the softopper where it meets the bed? I'm looking to dust/waterproof as best as possible.

I used RTV. I don't have a great pic, but this did the trick. I peeled that booger off of the bottom later on.

Just curious... Anyone know the torque spec for the clamp bolts?

There is not one. You just want enough to partly compress the foam seal but not so much that it rotates the mount rails a lot. Some folks reef them down then complain that the rails are rotated.

I would say to paint the rails black before you toss them on. They are much less noticeable.

Thanks for the reply. I tried calling them multiple times this morning but no luck.

I also ordered another set of clamps so there I have 3 clamps per side. It better distributes the load I found.
I bought mine used and replaced the gasket and the gasket is FAR thicker then what was on it before I guess so I get a fair bit of rotation before it is attached properly.

I have gotten very fast help by email.

Also. Their instructions used to show a 2nd Gen bed that does have our header rail for the forward alignment. It was a bit of an optical illusion looking at it.

I was a bit worried about two per side on my LB. But, it didn't even shudder as far as I could tell in crosswinds that were moving the Taco around nor in high speeds.

I would recommend a bit of thread lock on the clamps.
