    Ok I need help again haha. I have a friend coming back later to help me take the bumper off then back on again. But now I am realizing I need to set up the winch because once the grill is on I won't be able to access it. So I can't figure out how these mounts work for the control box that bolts to the top. It has these little brackets which I have loosened as far as they can go and they don't seem to fit down into the slot it supposed to. Any ideas? If I back the nut off anymore it falls off so that's the widest it will go.

    youll have to relocate the solenoid box somewhere besides the winch. I think @Schwarz just shoved it in a space that fit.

    I cut off those brackets that went horizontal so it will fit but it won't bolt up to the damn winch :goingcrazy: won't it just bounce all around and get fucked up if its not bolted to something?

    I honestly shoved mine between the end of the winch and the bumper plate. Been there over 2 years with plenty of wheeling, never had an issue. Nothing holding it in.

    OK figured it out. You have to loosen one of those side bars that says Smittybilt on it so you can twist it and adjust the angle. Slipped right into place once I loosened it.
