    I searched and couldn't find out information... could you use a hi-lift jack on an Avid light bar...would it hold up? or would i need an ARB or a more beefed up bumper?

    no you can not use the avid bar as a lift point.

    Beefier bumper usually means stronger coils to hold the front end of the truck up, it's not a small effort or expense. Unless you want to drop the $$$ on a new bumper and coils+struts to do this correctly you might want to ditch that idea altogether.
