Hi folks. After an exhaustive search here, youtube, and on the gueygal, I'm still confused about what a good choice for a head unit upgrade might be. I've got a 2019 Tacoma TRD OR DCLB with the JBL Premium package and the Bluetooth connectivity has grown frustrating with little concern by Toyota. Here's what I'd like to see without installing a 2k Stinger system.

    • Factory fit as not to interfere with Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions rail and associated electronics.
    • Able to withstand moderate off road use on a semi regular basis.
    • I want to run nav apps like Avenza Maps and OnX. Android Auto/mirroring is likely necessary for this but apps downloaded into the unit is fine as long as data re-populates into my existing phone apps.
    • Customizable apps on home screen and secondary screens.
    • Wired to my phone for power and mirroring. Must be compatible with modern high resolution phones.
    • Additional usb ports for charging my portable ham radio.
    • Full functionality of steering wheel controls.
    • Full use of factory rear camera. Guide lines are a plus.
    • Optional front camera input.
    • Optional TPMS connection would be nice.
    • Optional dash cam connection would be nice.
    • Fast opperating system/touchscreen response with quality graphics and high resolution.
    • Big memory. For lots of music, apps, maps, etc.
    • An actual volume knob is a bonus. Wife's request so....
Any and all input is welcome. Bob thanks you.
