Just noticed out of the blue that the seat belt alert no longer beeps endlessly. Just one beep, then silence. Should I be concerned, or simply enjoy my good fortune?

My one concern is that I definitely have rodents hanging out under the hood. They did a number on my wife's car last year. They keep coming back every winter, no matter what I try. Are there wires under the hood that might cause this?

Motor Trend recommends this, gets high ratings. Install under hood comes in when truck turns off, and turns off when truck is started

Beware- this YouTube channel is addictive.. I discovered it years ago and can remember spending a night and morning watching the mouse-trap videos.. dude is passionate about killing mice. It’s entertaining.

But he tests ultrasonic in this short video.

Uh oh. Hope it's not related to the mice.

    What about...
Turn the truck off and leave the keys in the ignition with the door open. Still beep?
Leave the hand brake on when in drive. Still beep?
Any other continous beep still work?

Maybe your truck has since decided that it has given you enough reminders.

X2 on the cat. We have a stray cat on our street that does a good job
