Hi all my seat belt buckle is struggling. When I go to push the button it feels like it can't go all the way in. It goes just far enough to get it unbuckled but you can tell it isn't right. Can anyone tell me how to disassemble it so I can see what is going on.
    Thanks

Do you have access to anything like sewing machine oil with the spout you can pull out? Might just need a little lube to get it working. I’m not sure you can even take those apart for certain safety reasons.

Even if you could, I wouldn’t. Probably like $40 to replace it. Small price to pay over possibly putting your life or a loved ones life in danger to try and pry open a safety mechanism.

Worth trying a touch of CLP, ballistol or rem oil if you have it laying around and work it in. Don't over do it tho. Just a quick spray should do the trick. If it can unjam my ar then it can unjam just about everything else :infantry:

After some compressed air I'd use electrical contact cleaner. It dries quicky but will dissolve many gunky things.

I'd try and avoid any lubricant. There is no prescriptive lubrication maintenance for that part and any residual will be a dust and dirt magnet.

I will try the compressor. I have sprayed electrical cleaner in there before but didn't seem to help. I didn't realize a new unit would be so inexpensive. Seams like everything cost a fortune anymore. Thanks for all the suggestions.
