Not sure about the 15's, but with my 13 I unplugged a wire beneath the seat.

And get ready for losers to chime in and add " How about you just use the seatbelt" or " I got an idea how about using your seatbelt" etc.

Dealer can reprogram, but they sometimes charge. I pulled out the speaker mounted to the back of the instrument cluster. Pretty easy.

My passenger side goes off when I have my laptop backpack on it. I just keep that seat buckled all the time.

People will definitely chime in. I'm just not sure "loser" is applicable to all.

Thanks! No soap box here. The trip odometer trick doesn't work on mine and I'm not paying the stealer to program it!

I don't care who wears their seatbelt. All I know is that I would have died 12 yrs ago without it.... It's a personal decision though. Similar discussions about helmets on all the bike forums....

I bought a couple of seat belt buckles (just buckle, no belt) off eBay. They called them "seat belt alarm stop". Now I don't have to worry about my dog setting it off

The problem is a bag or dog, in my case, sets it off. Super annoying.

And lose the air bags also?

Use Techstream, or a seat belt extender.

Just wondering how unplugging the seat belt effects the SRS System. I think it has more implications than you know.

It's been mentioned, but has anyone tried something like this? And yes, I like the dual purpose of these chinese pieces of communism.

As a point of reference, I unplugged the seat controls on a '04 Ford Mustang when I removed the factory seats to be replaced with seats for open track events. The airbag deployment was not hindered when the vehicle was involved in a crash.

It may be different for these Tacomas, but it seems risky for the safety equipment to be that easily and unintentionally disabled.

Yank the buzzer out behind the Guage cluster.... that's what I did.

As in you removed the gauge cluster to get to the buzzer, or you were able to access it from under the dash?

You have to pull the cluster, not bad tho only like a 20 minute job. Removing the buzzer entirely is nice because u don't have to listen to the buzzer when the doors open either
