I have a 2008, and long-ago did the seatbelt ding mod - worked fine.
Recently had the car at a dealership for 60,000mile service, and asked them to check TSBs.
They did the spiral cable and did a re-flash for the gas/brake pedal TSB.
Now ding is back, and the old mod from 2009 doesn't work??
Would the re-flash make the truck's computer think it was newer, and thus not recognize old mod technique?
    Any clues??

I vote yes. That all settings were restored to OE, and the new 'upgrades' applied.

If the '08 'ding' is considered customizable (as it is on my '13), via an ECU setting, just ask the dealer to restore that custom setting that was lost in the reflash.

It's like having certain settings on your desktop. A tech coming along to upgrade you should save all that stuff, do the upgrade, and reapply your settings.
