I used to Have a 2019 Tacoma. I have a friend who is overweight and when I would give him a ride, the seatbelt indicator would come on and would not go off when he got out. The dealer reset it twice and then told me they would no longer do it under warranty. Does anyone know of a DIY fix for this?

I tried an OBD II but could not find a way to reset it.

I haven't tried giving him a ride in my 2022 and would like to know there's a solution before I do.

It is likely a permanent code that is stored. TechStream would definitely be able to clear it, if the dealer did it in the past. You'd need a Tractrix adapter to do it though. TS can be downloaded from the 1st Post of the ECU Update thread.
