    Could just buckle your seatbelt...
Hopefully this is just for no chime while parked with doors open.
Driving with no seat belt is retarded
There are too many texting millennials out there

For less cost and time, you could simply have your Toyota dealership disable the chime. I had mine done by my Dealership (Butler Toyota, Indianapolis) and they did it without so much as batting an eyelash. All the reports of cajoling the dealer or coming up with some nonsense "reason" for them to disable the sound are unfounded. Dealer had no qualms at all with this request. Silly to purchase fake clips or to doctor your own CPU when this is free and easily done the CORRECT way.

I have kids and we like to take my truck to the beach which is several hours from our home, so on the way back my wife will unbuckle herself and grab all the trash or feed the baby a bottle and the chime is annoying. I often make her just buckle it behind her back but for 3 bucks... I mean ez fix.

I can see the Wtf moment though, lol.

    Hahaha bodies...

id be concerned with potential airbag injuries with seat belt clips. advanced airbags like the ones in our trucks are fancy beasts and deploy differently in different situations depending on data from sensors including:
7.RSCA OFF switch (4WD models only)

8.Curtain shield airbag sensors (Access Cab and Double Cab models)

    9. Seat belt pretensioners and force limiters

    10. Side and curtain shield airbag sensors

    11.Driver’s seat position sensor

    12. Driver’s seat belt buckle switch

13.Front passenger’s seat belt buckle switch

    14. Front passenger occupant classification system (ECU and sensors)

    15.Airbag sensor assembly

    16. Front airbag sensors

    17. Front passenger’s seat position sensor

    18. Belt tension sensor

as previously stated, dealer can and will shut off the chime for you. mine was a dick and turned on permanent flashing while turning off the chime because i bugged them

The disable is Audio only. Your dealer wasn't being a dick. Mine (and everyone elses) flashes the red "seatbelt" icon, but elicit NO audio, when not engaging the driver/passenger belts. This is normal and wasn't some kind of punishment.

I very politely asked my dealer if they'd remove the chime. Uh, no sir we don't do that.

I bought a Carista device to do it myself... doesn't work on 2015's. You can diagnose but not customize.

So I'll stick with the chime for now. I'm a constant seat belt wearer, I just don't care for the annoying beep that starts 8 seconds after you get in. SHUT UP TRUCK, WE HAVEN'T LEFT THE GARAGE YET CHILL OUT!!

Chime is extremely annoying... specially when the wife cant sit still for a quick 6 hr drive to the cabin and she feels the need to poke around for snacks and so forth....very annoying....heck we were mall crawling the other day she had to take the belt off to something without it... wtf?

Problem I have is when some of my friends don't want to use the seat belt.... it's there for your protection bro... put it on.... oh wait you can walk the fuck home. Later Bro Bro. problem solved.

All I'm seeing above for reasons to not wear a seat belt are examples of Darwinism. Even driving slow isn't an excuse, what if someone hits you? Wife reaching around to give baby a bottle? Come on guys, next thing you know your kids are looking for a new mommy! Just pull over if you need to, the 2 minutes to give them a bottle are worth the risk. I don't want to hear any excuses about "I'm an excellent driver", there's enough raw statistics to prove that doesn't matter, especially when you get hit by a drunk or distracted driver.

    /end rant

Mostly I agree, but farm use is a bit of a different thing.

in the end it should be up to the operator IMO. also dont require helmets on motorcycles here(not my plate but they all say it)

On the other hand, those operators typically have mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, spouses, children, etc whose lives are shattered.

Tough call. I'm all for personal liberty and government staying out of personal business, but we do need to remember all who are affected.

All of you are affected from people not wearing a seatbelt due to insurance rates going up from medical bills in accidents. It's not just families here.

I don't buy the farm excuse; farms have some of the worst injury rates and lost time incidents of any industry. Explain to me again why they should be exempt from seat belt and helmet laws? I personally knew people growing up who were run over their own tractors. Thinking it's ok to not wear a seat belt on a tractor just leads to more people thinking the same when in their vehicles.

Farms, ranches, hunting leases when you have to get out every five minutes to open a gate or fill a feeder; having to buckle up becomes a pain in the ass. We never go over 10 mph on the pasture roads an no other vehicles out there. There are some nasty accidents on farms, but none of them involve not wearing a seatbelt in a Tacoma.
