    Well,

I guess I was blessed with leather or dark colored upholstery before I bought a Tacoma.

I am looking for any insight TW has on cleaning these seats. Everything on the drivers seat is mostly body oils and dust. But the light grey sure does like to show it off.

The issue isn't the traditional upholstery but the mesh center sections.

Any insights? Other than ditch the stock upholstery?

This is a truck I cleaned last summer. If you have an upholstery cleaner, you’ll get better results.

    This is what I used:

I use Folex for home and automotive carpets/upholstery and it generally works better than anything else I've found. Can be used with steam and carpet cleaners too.

I'm guessing a professional doing stuff like shampoo, steam clean
or you buying or renting such tools to perform that yourself

I don't think it's gonna be as easy, cheap, or straightforward as vinyl door panels and whatnot where you can simply rub cleaner with a brush and wipe off with a microfiber

I know WalMart rents/rented carpet cleaners, looks kind of like a vacuum
    maybe home depot

but that's more pushing them along the floor that people often use to deep clean their apartment finally when moving out, with the furniture out and floors exposed to try and get the deposit back

I'm sure what detailers use handheld on carpets is gonna be a different story

And, another thing you can do
whether you take it to a detailer, or do that yourself
is remove the interior. I mean, to drive to a detailer, obviously you gotta have your driver seat in. Maybe throw the rest in the bed.
But if you have a garage at home that gives you the opportunity to temporarily take all that shit out and set it aside on the floor
to not only clean the seat upholstery, but the floor carpet as well underneath the seats/everywhere etc

    maybe sell the tool after
    or use on wife's car
    or keep

Those aren’t TRD seats tho, which are harder to clean out

walmart sells their own branded "professional carpet cleaner" spray. i think it works better than Resolve or 409. You spray it on, rub it in with a brush, let it dry, the vacuum it up.
