I'm an athletic build 5'8 and 190lbs and the seats fit me and provide good comfort.
The only thing that bothers me about the seats is I have a loaded 2018 SBDC Sport (premium and tech packages) however there's no power seats.
Doesn't make sense to me that Toyota offers heated seats in the premium package but no power. I'd rather have power seats than heated.

I raised my seat by 4 degrees. And it helped a lot for day to day comfort. I have a DCOR with a sunroof. But still have no idea how anyone gets into and out of it comfortably. I am literally wedged in this thing and Im 5'8 and am not a heavy person. So not a big dude but find it annoying af and the most awkward position just to enter and exit the truck. Driving is fine, but getting into and out is a F'ing chore. Like you have to hop in already scrunched into the seating position. Feel like a GD lego man. Feels like Im sitting in the dash, its not a natural position lol

Ditto. I'm only 6 foot 175lb but I can drive all day and feel alright. Not the best seats I've ever been in but certainly not the worst.

I'll put it this way...it's less comfortable than my '17 WRX seats but it makes up for it in ride quality on long drives. In comparison to my '96 Tacoma that I put Corbeau seats in, my '18 Tacoma is world's better. Nothing special but it gets the job done. For my build, it's not awful

As has been said though, the lack of adjustment is a bit ridiculous. My buddy's 4runner is night and day in terms of seat comfort and interior quality

I don't think most people have ever ridden in a bad seat. I mean, at least my seat is bolted down, not rusted out, does not have a spring poking through, don't have to worry about getting tape residue on your jeans because you had to fix a tear with duct tape...
    Yeah, I love my seat.

Some are certainly better than others. I have a bad lower back... I've been in some seats that were just awful for me. And I've been in others like Acura and Volvo that are clearly putting a big focus on having the most comfortable seats at their price point. It's not a focus of Toyota and I don't blame them. One doesn't buy a Tacoma if they want luxury.

Anything feels good for a few hours. Also the fact that the seat backs move a good 1/4 of an inch just by sitting in them is weird, stopping, hitting the gas etc the whole seat back rocks. I posted a video in another thread of the seat-back play that is considered "normal" per Toyota. Things you don't really notice until you have the vehicle for a bit. Majority of these things are overlooked by a lot on here since most the Taco community is "Toyota or die" and deeply offended when someone says otherwise lol.

It took me months to find a comfortable seating position on my 2nd gen, so when I got my 3rd gen it only took a couple of trips. The seats do break in, just five it some time.

IMHO steering wheel needs to telescope a bit further and the front of the seat needs to be raised a bit to take some load off of my a$$ on long trips.

It seems that the driver's seat has a degree of "Goldilocks effect". I am one of the fortunate ones: my 2017 fits me just right.

I have owned it 11 months and have about 18,000 miles on it. It is my daily driver. Also, at least weekly, I am in it for a 4 hour round trip on the interstate (with a 3 hour break in the middle). Also, I have driven it on 4 multi-state trips, each of which was in excess of 7 hours driving each way. I find the seating position to be very comfortable. A few months ago, I installed Clazzio seat covers which added even more comfort to the seat.

I don't mean to minimize the predicament of those who find the seat uncomfortable, which is compounded by its limited adjustment capabilities. Just saying that the seat works great for some.

Eh. Its not the best bucket in the world but not the worst. It took a lot of tinkering but I got it dialed in. I have to have the seat reclined like I'm in a sports car, I like an upright position but I would rather see when the stoplight turns green. (That's a weakness I don't see mentioned very often-the windshields feel TINY in these trucks because they are so far forward, the only one worse I've seen was the FJ.)

That said, I did beat my personal one-day milage record in a Tacoma: Charleston to DFW, 17 hours, no breaks. No soreness issues next day. Lots of coffee though.

St Louis to DFW in my 2008 Ram. Sore. As.Hell.

2000 Frontier: 13 hours from Denver. My butt was a lot younger then. Not bad.

1998 mustang, 15 hours to Moab. Soreness for days.

Alberquerque to DFW in a 1984 cadillac. Best seat ever. Damn near fell asleep.

Can you put 4 runner seats in the front of a Taco? I was looking at aftermarket German seats but they are stupid expensive.

Everybody who goes with me on a 4 hour round trip drive complains about the seat, and my yass hurts too. This does not happen when I drive the Volvo.

I am 5'3" tall and so is my wife. both of us think the seating position in the Tacoma's is way too low. granted, I don't find them "uncomfortable", but after a couple hours of driving I have to stop and get out and walk around. my legs get tight and start to really hurt if I try to drive more than 2 hours. my daughter's Jeep Cherokee, I can drive it for way longer and never have to stop once.

I actually think the seats in my Tacoma are more "comfortable" than the seats in her Cherokee, but the seating position is all wrong in the Taco. if they were height adjustable, I think that would solve the problem.

I am absolutely in love with my new ride except for the lumbar support. It is an inch or two too low. I am just 6'1" but the support is not near as good as my last two Nissan Altimas. Hoping for a utility response.
