I'm just glad they have a laundry service for our uniforms and lockers. Figure I'll put the Aries seat cover over. Maybe the mechanic cover over that for just in case lol.

So, I can't speak for a steel plant, but back when I was a mechanic, coming home grimy & Greasy -- I /Much/ preferred leather. Especially the tougher truck-grade types. Nast just wipes right off rather than perma-staining like cloth. Cars with white cloth were the scariest to be in

Anyone have the Seat Savers? I just saw them on Amazon. Good price, seems like they might be a bit more waterproof than the Ares. I’m looking for a solution for fishing. I get in and out with wet waders.

I think you answered your own question. Go for it. Amazon will allow returns if you don’t like them

How about some beach towels to throw over the seats when you need them?

Yeah I was asking if anyone has used them. Product descriptions and real life can be two different things.

If you ever handled cars that had tire fires and that black soot was on anything you have to touch, this burnt on waste oil coating is like that. All you need to do is brush lightly on it. Then from there is gets everywhere . Nothing I know of gets it off cars seats or carpets . Trying to remove it just grinds it in deeper .

He is going to need door liners too . LOL I am not sure how deep he will be as an electrician, but my guess is at the end of day 1 he will look like he had fun loving steel .

When the steel is made into what ever shape it will be and still white hot is when it goes in ab bath, and comes out on fire, and is stored that way piece after piece, and gets a few stickers that don't stick real well and then someone comes along and buys it strapped in bundles if it's small enough. It goes to a job sight and welders set it up. It doesn't get any cleaner ever ! This coating is anti rust, but it smears real easy, and what ever it gets on is marked for good.

It's a job...... I think of it like BASF we don't make these things , we make then better. But here we do both. We build odd machines for big industry, of many kinds and types. We build the machines that make turbo fans, but don't make turbo fans. We make vacuum ovens of thermo plastics but don't make anything in the way of the parts that will be made. Ie: upper truck bed rails. We build control cabinets fully wired. (drives me crazy) these can be for most any machine and water systems too. We make machines that test materials, as impact testers that hit materials you want to test for so many measured strikes as you want. We make flex testers again for so many flexes as you want and man or motor driven traction testers, to test materials for their traction abilities. We work T 61 alloy, a variety of stainless steels, and some of this black burnt on hot rolled steel in the frames.

Once in a while I get to clean the steel as best I can so it can be powder coated. Oh just let me tell you how much fun that is LOL

In my younger days working oil rigs, Lagrange,Giddings areas Texas. I would wear some light weight overalls, we got real dirty on the rig. Peal me off at the end of the day had like 4 sets. on off days head to the car wash and hose em down Standard routine for about a year. Couldn't handle the meth Addicts got out.

Looking at the various photos of the Aries it looks like they might not be compatible with the seat side airbags.

They are designed with seat side air bags in mind. It even says that on their website somewhere. I remember reading it.

Does anyone buy seat covers to make panties drop? Are there seat covers in existence that make panties drop? Maybe Clazzios because chicks dig leather? Sorry, this just hit my funnybone sideways :)

Oh it was an attempt at some sarcastic humor. I was just trying to point out that the Aries won't have that tight fitted look that Clazzios will have. Some dudes here on TW turn their nose up at anything they deem 'uncool'. I guess out of fear that the women will run away screaming into the night because they don't have Clazzios, BF Goodrich KO"s, and a Pro grill.

If it’s going to get dirty, don’t get something nice. Just bag it up with tarp, blanket, or one of those bag-liners.
