    Very sharp looking !!!!!!!!!!

It was what I considered a bit expense as I was mulling it over. Overwhelming number of options on the market. It was made easier as I poked around the threads here on TW. I narrowed it down to Clazzio, Katskin and Wet Okole.

I went and looked at local dealers option stores and looked around at options.
Talked to friends and coworkers....one of them was an avid outdoorsmen who had a 5-6 year old full size 4x4 that appeared to be well used.....lots of tree branch pin stripes down the side of his truck. The truck had been on frequent adventures in it's life. Opened the door....and the seat covers appeared to be new. Strong endorsement.

My Wet Okole covers do not look anywhere near as sweet as the leather covers the guys posted in your thread...in my opinion, but they won me over the week after I bought my new Tacoma.

For me....the benefits I appreciated in them are:
    • Comfort-support. There is a definite added padding factor...how much I can't give empirical data....I can only say my large arse is simply overall much more comfortable than I was with the factory seats. My prior truck was a Frontier that had more softness and give to it...than the Taco's factory seats. Over the years I wished they'd been more firm....as I appreciated that aspect of the new Taco...the firmer seating. The W.O. covers do add a bit of light padding over the nice factory firmness.
    • Comfort-texture. The W.O. cover is nice and smooth....feels great with shorts or shirtless. Hit up a fishing spot the other day in 90 heat....no shirt....driving from spot to spot. Super comfortable.
    • Comfort-temperature. I work long shifts and my back tells on me at the end of the day. I tend to run the heater in my drivers seat (option that I'm very glad I added to my W.O. order). The warmth of that heated seat is very therapeutic on my drive home. The covers are already a bit more "warm" than the factory seats, anyway. I live in the South and it's officially the hot season here. Black truck parked in the hot sun does warm up and the ambient temps do get retained a bit longer in these covers. The transfer of that heat is a benefit to me with my tricky back. My wife and son have never taken exception to it, either. When wearing cotton dress shirts or t-shirts, I've never had an issue where my back was sweating when I hopped out of my truck. I did have Suntek ceramic tint applied to my windows before the heat arrived.....I suspect this makes a very big difference. The stuff kills off heat nicely.
    • Easy to maintain. I can't stress this enough. I bought their "cover care kit" that comes with soap, UV protectant and odor killer. I had some dark grease on my forearm that I missed one day at work. It smeared into the console cover badly. Three days later I had the day off to spend some time cleaning it. Mixed a batch of their seat soap as per instructions and took a washcloth and the grease came off in seconds and restored my cover to brand new appearance. Every few truck washes, I'll mix a batch and wiped down the seats, too. Never needed to use the "odor killer" stuff. We will see how the Summer life goes..... I need to break out the soap stuff again, it seems. They gave us a small zip-up first aid kit at work for our vehicles. Tossed mine in the backseat. Something in it leaked out and splooged all over my seat. There's some type of ointment stain left. I'm confident that it'll clean off in a minute or less. I've spilled coffee and once even dumped a full pilsner glass of good beer (still pissed about the lost beer) when sipping and doing interior mods. Both cleaned up with super ease.
    • Durability- I drive a midsize truck vs a full size truck because of my crappy knees. I'm 49 and both knees are overdue for replacement. Shot out. Football, surgeries, hobbies, work.....all have left their stamp on me. Stairs are my nemesis....and wife want's to retire soon to a three story beach house. I've got to get those new knees soon, lol....and purchase a winning lottery ticket. Climbing up into friends full size trucks kills me. Test drove everything on the market last October....and simply had no desire to deal with that. At 6'4" I can walk up to a midsize and slide right in. Perfect. Taco was the clear winner for me. I added some rails that protrude from the side a good bit and do make it a bit more tricky on the entry. The result is that I slide on/off the seat even more. My old Frontier drivers seat was worn through. No doubt the same would've happened on my new Taco, too. These W.O. covers show zero wear in that spot, however. Zero.
    • Cons-price. The cons of the W.O. seats at first were the price. I had a hard time pulling the trigger.....at first. My thinking initially was, "Dude....that's a heap of dinero spent to protect your freaking seats". After a short time of owning them my thinking totally changed. I realized that...yes....I was protecting my seats.......but I was doing way more than that. I was increasing the performance and function of the seats....no different than other upgrades that folks do to cars to make them perform better. Now....6+ months later I can say that ti was a buy once-cry once scenario. I have zero regrets. The group buy here on TW saved me a large amount vs going through the local dealer and having them install them.
    • Cons-installation. It does require you to unbolt your front seats to better access the nooks and crannies you have to get to for a proper installation. I tipped my seats forward and got at what I needed to without having to remove them and no wiring was disconnected. Turns out to be way easier than I suspected.

    • Cons-looks vs comparable cost leather covers. There is no doubt that the leather covers.....especially with the sweet contrast stitching.....look way better. In my opinion, it is simply impossible to beat leather. My wife has some leather pants and skirts that kill me every time. Slayed. However.....she often wears yoga pants & jeans that get me growling, too. She had on a some jeans the other day that made me blurt out, "I'd chew through a chain link fence to get at you, woman". Point being here that performance fabrics can be sharp looking, too. I have zero regrets.....but I do very much admire the leather covers in this thread, too. You have a tough call to make. I'm hoping to add a muscle car to the garage some day in a couple years.....it'll no doubt have leather. In this Taco, my daily driver, hunt truck, fishing truck, dog hauler.....I'll take these highly functional W.O. covers.

    Excellent suggestion !!!!

The warmth really helps. I did the same with my neoprene covers.

Love my KatzKin leather, and i can always throw a cover over them if I'm about to be muddy or wet for the weekend, and still ride comfortable during the week
