Idk, only that they were of some type of cloth fabric with these pads so the seat cover won't shift when you sit on it. They had all these straps that went under the seat lengthwise, and sidewise, that there was no way we could get our big mitts under there without unbolting the seats. I've got carhartts mossy oaks...took 15 minutes to install them.

Unbolting the seats takes about minute and is the only way to really secure decent seat covers properly. Otherwise you can really screw up some of the workings (including air bags) and end up with blood everywhere. Just sayin'. ;)

But with carhartts, it was so simple...hardest part was stretching them over the seat itself. No need to unbolt anything.

Sounds good and easy. I was referring to the more complicated covers (like our Clazzios) that need to be tethered from various angles, front to back and side to side, etc. Unbolting’s a must, but very easy.

I'm happy with my Wet Okole truck seat covers. They are made of water-resistant neoprene material that is durable and easy to clean (and I can wash the covers in a washing machine which I find great and convenient). I'm not a big fan of leather covers, and neoprene ones turned out to be the best for me.

Our Taco is more of a mall crawler and occasional trail runner, so outside of some mud or beach sand (which is mostly captured by our pup's rear seat hammock) and such, our seats don't get much abuse. One of the things the wife likes is leather seats. Almost went with Katzkins, which is actually a full reupholstery job, but decided to save a grand or so with the Clazzios. They're not for everyone of course, but we like 'em. ;)

I would like to know the secret of running the Carhartt strap under the seat. I have the strap ran behind the seat back in sort of an alternate method because I couldn’t get it under the seat.

For those with clazzio what is the difference between nappa leather and leather. Also is PVC an OK option. I want something that is easier to clean dog hair off of and breathable (i think) like OEM fabric seats.

The covers are ALL PVC on sides and back only the seat section would be leather So i chose all PVC they look good they were in stock and cheaper. I very happy with the color match. Picture was taken during install they have relaxed and look even better today20230108_104203_HDR.jpg

Basically what @leftright said. Most manufacturers these days use vinyl on the outsides of the seats with leather or a matching material in the centers. My understanding is that the nappa leather is a softer, more supple leather.

Call Clazzio and they will send you a nice sample board of all of the materials and colors. Their customer service is awesome.

We love ours, but I would have ordered the lighter color of gray leather inserts had I seen the samples first. All of the photos here, including ours, made the dark gray look lighter than it actually is. The dark gray is very close to the OE center fabric color if that’s what someone’s after though.

The photos I’ve seen of the all vinyl seats look just like our leather seats so I guess it just depends on what conditions you’ll be using them in.

I gotta amitt those clazzio's look great, but I use my truck as a truck. I didn't buy it as a luxury vehicle needing leather, or similar. The carharrts were not that cheap, and do not fit as well, but at least I don't have to worry about getting them dirty, or tearing them. I don't think i've seen a more tear resistant seat cover than these.

I just fed mine under the seat taped to a short dowel stick to feed it completely through. I think it only took a minute, or two. Was harder time for me to slip the cover over my driver side power seat.

Super simple install. Removing seats not required.

    Nice.

FWIW I never removed our seats, just unbolted them so I could tip them forward and backward for easy access underneath. It's really hard to tell exactly what you're dealing with under there, especially the electric driver's side. There are a lot of wires and what-not, plus the assemblies that move them. Just wanted to be sure the tie-downs weren't pulling on or blocking any of the critical infrastructure. ;)

Here is my story....I wanted seat covers to protect my cloth seats I saw the Clazzio chose 2 tone PVC . They look great maybe too great I am thinking now about getting some seat covers to protect the Clazzio seat covers , that are protecting the cloth seat covers. I hope you laughed as much reading this as I did writing it
