Hello everyone, I am looking at the procedures needed to install aftermarket seat heaters in my 2020 Tacoma. I will put leather Clazzio covers over the seat heaters. The seat heater installation instructions have me cutting out material where the heat pad overlays supports under the seat foam. I think I saw a video that showed laying the seat heater pad uncut over the factory seat covers. This might legitimately save cutting the heater pad. Does anyone have input on this? Seems a waste to cut the heating pad up. Also, does anyone have tips on taking the center console apart and removing the "knock outs" in the dash panel for installation of the heater switches? Thanks all.

Do not cut them lay the.pads on the factory seats with the sticky side down. Don't put the heated pads on the underside of the Clazzios in case you damage one section because then you will play hell removing it from the Clazzios. I did mine right in top of the factory seats and no issues. It will pull away better from the factory seats when and if you need to remove them.
