Okay, this is going to sound strange, but I swear the seat heater on my truck is on even though the switch is off. It's just the seat back that gets uncomfortably hot and the seat doesn't warm up. I have the leather package, so thought the seat was just not allowing airflow and was hot over the summer, but it still feels awfully warm even now that things have turned cool.

Anyone ever hear of something like this? It's a 2019 with 25K miles, so obviously still under warranty, but the dealership annoys the Hell out of me and I'd rather just fix it myself even if it means disabling the heater as I never use it.

There is a recent thread talking about the seat heater module failing. Not unreasonable to assume it can fail on

Is there a separate seat heater fuse? Pull the fuse to determine if there is a difference.

Lol turn the damn thing on. If it gets even hotter, then it's not broke.
Or, before you get in the truck lay your hand on the back of the seat, then lay your hand on the actual seat. Are they the same temp?

Hahaha. I'll do some poking around to see if turning it on changes things and look for a fuse. I did turn it on low the other day, but I only noticed a change in the seat bottom.

I don’t have the heated seats but if you unplugged the wiring to the seat, which I would assume that there would be one that’s probably with the rest of wiring, you would know if the seat was being heated or not.

If I ASSUME wrong then as the old saying goes…..:D

Since there are airbags in the seat, I think, I was hesitant to start unplugging things.

The yellow wire is the airbag.

My seats have the airbags and I did unplug the drivers side to remove the seat so I could install the aftermarket amp. Did it a few times because I had to go back in to tune the amp. No issues and I have not heard of anyone else having issues. Maybe this could lead to problems? I don’t know, just know what I did.
