I'm a little confused. Seams Seat Jackers are what everyone gets and says helps with body fatigue and what not by lifting the front of the seat. Quikfix claims the proper way to sit in the seat is accomplished by lifting the rear. SOOOOOO which is it?

We have to similar products that claim to help in similar manners yet lift the seat in two complete opposite ways.

So I’m someone who has had a major back surgery. The Tacoma seat is already low in the front to begin with, which why so many guys complain about being uncomfortable. I personally couldn’t imagine raising the back thus making the front feel even lower. I’d feel like I was sliding off the front. Raising the front definitely makes the seat much more comfortable in the Tacoma. I personally don’t have either in my truck as I keep the back of my seat very upright which suits me and my seats are heated.

well this guy seems to sell a fair amount of these and claims raising the back is the way to go, thus my confusion haha.

My guess would be... different strokes for different folks. Bodies are very different so it wouldn't be surprising if different body types or back issues would benefit from different seat angles and positioning.

I have the seat jackers, got 'em cheap so figured I'd see what all the rage was about. They don't seem to make anything more comfortable for me but I kept 'em for the extra room under the seats and the molle panel where I now store my flashlight. I'm 5'8" and now it feels like I'm seated up real high close to the headliner. I can't believe taller people like this mod but many do. Gotta just be different body types and different ergonomic preferences.

would you say seeing over the front of the hood is not better or worse? the ones that raise the rear claim it increases the ease of seeing over the front of the hood.

For me, it got a little easier to see over the hood. But, on the flipside, it's gotten harder to see what's higher up. Especially if you flap the visor down. In most cars the visors are elevated above my head but now in my Tacoma with these it's almost like I'm staring straight at the visor.

Yup try both. I made my own spacers of ~1-1.25in Ended up putting them in the back, didnt like the way the front of the seat dug into the back of my thighs normally so flattening out the seat by raising the rear not only put me a bit taller up to better see out but got rid of that pressure point.

I tried the rears and didn't like them. I have the front lifted now and it appears to be better, or at least to the point where I don't feel the need to take them out like I did with the rear lifted.

I’m pretty sure it’s the back because of the angle. Circular 1” or so made by the guy here in the big thread for a long time.
one of the first things I did to the truck a long time ago and was very noticeable.

other products are not for that and marketed as “increasing room for storage under the seat” which I doubt actually do with a small spacer on a low seat.
The reason the seat is low is because of ground clearance and low COG. The truck sits high with a cab that is vertically narrow.

so yeah. Rear is raised. Haven’t tried any other way like only front raised.
Seen folks do both front and rear raised the same amount which makes no sense. Puts the seat at the exact same angle.
Plus seat doesn’t have that range of adjustment like other cars do.

It's definitely a personal preference. I like my quikfix rear spacers.
