Yeah, I’ve learned to slightly duck when entering the cab. But love the ride with them.

Since it was her seat, I let my 5'4" wife decide on the passenger side. She said it was hard enough to get into the cab as it was and raising the seat another inch would just make it worse. My Taco runs on 35" tires so it is a bit of a climb for her as it is.

I guess my main point is this thread has two answers: Driver's side verses Passenger side.

Agreed, maybe more answers than that. Driver vs passenger plus front or back or both.

I only did the driver side; rarely have a passenger and they can more easily adjust their posture while traveling.

I removed those annoying stickers on the sun visor.
I wish somebody would offer the opposite. I'm 6 foot even, and long in the body, so I have less than half an inch of clearance between the roof and my head.

Sometimes I wish I didn't have that sunroof, which removes 2 inches of ceiling height, but it was the only way to get a TRD Sport with the manual transmission. Plus I'm really liking the sunroof.

I'm 5'11" and 72 years old. My Tacoma has been as comfortable as any other vehicle I've driven over the years. Yeah, after 2-3 hours in the saddle, I start to squirm a bit until I pull over and stretch. But that has always been the case - large vehicles or small. I've read about the seat jackers but it always seems like a solution to a problem I don't have.

    Ok I did it-
    removed- case being ->

“ I began to realize I don’t prefer having one steering wheel position, extend it all the way up, extended all the way out.

I wanted to feel the truck like it was designed just stock. My eyesight was to high in the window a little bit… I duck my head to look right far less with out them installed.:hattip:

I don’t miss cramming falling out of it jammed up, exiting the vehicle If you don’t have the power seats these are probably a must.

Although if your powered seats these are over kill. Mind you if I travel 4,000miles on a trip I would maybe install these for the long haul.”

    Tested >7,000miles of seating & I’m

I'd never heard of these things til recently and though they seemed a bit pricey I went ahead and ordered some. I'm 6'-3" and am wondering where these have been all my life. Definitely worth the money

Removed mine after couple months. I just felt when using the left pedal, made my leg numb in few occasions.

Removed mine. I'm 5'9". Everyone raves about them but I didn't care for them. My knees were hitting the steering wheel. I was able to get a full refund. It's a great company with excellent customer service.

I really think it depends on where you get your height. If you have a long trunk, you may find your head up near the roof. If you're like me and have longer legs they help boost the front of the seat to better support the back of your thighs. Before the seat jackers the muscles in my legs and lower back were providing the support and causing pain.

Does it vastly improve seating position and make long drives more comfortable? Yes

If you're tall and have a sunroof and were already working with limited headroom the Seat Jackers will make it worse for sure.

I'm most likely going to take it to a quality upholstery shop and have the seat foam reshaped and reduced to give me more headroom

I had them for about a week, great product and definitely made the seat more comfortable but I found that I sat too high, basically I needed the rear of the seat to be lower. I'm 6'1"

I have had seat jackers on the front of the driver's seat for over a year now. They definitely made a HUGE difference--for me. Before them I couldn't drive an hour without bad lower back pain. Now I can drive hours. Yesterday I was in the seat for about 6 hours with the longest stretch being about 2-1/2 hours. I was stiff but certainly didn't have the horrible back pain I had before.

Now for the IMPORTANT parts.--I am 6-2" and have a 32" inseam. The lengths of your legs matters MORE than your overall height. The front seat jackers lift the seat front enough to take pressure off your thighs which stops the pain in your lower back. Anyone with short legs just doesn't benefit from the seat jackers.

I have a 2020, which has an electric adjustable drivers seat. I adjusted as far as it could go in various directions but no luck.

One of the best mods I've done. I'm 5'9" usually run 200 - 215 range so I'm kinda thickish. They have been great for years, also installed them in the GX with Zero complaints. Currently using them with the Corbeau Trailcat seats and they been great there too. I run my steering wheel all the way down and all the way out, no issues with my legs or my knees.

You can see them here in this vid--

Knowing the seat position is so subjective and different for everyone, I added a couple 1.25” wood blocks up front as spacers to test out the feel of sitting parked outside the house for a while before ordering the jackers. Seemed to improve my range of usable seat adjustment so I went for it.

After installing the real thing, I notice an improvement in my position in my ‘21 OR with power seat. The main thing is that they give me the extra space to adjust my seat to a better spot, whereas without them, I was always riding with the front seat angle maxed out and in in the high side and the rear maxed out to the lowest just to get a position that gave decent thigh support without making it hard to get in and out, or without the seat feeling like it was pushing me toward the wheel. With the jackers, I find I’m sitting maybe 1/2” higher overall, which marginally affects entry and exit, but makes the built in seat adjustments so much more useful. I’ve only had my truck a couple months, but have done several trips already that are 4+ hrs of uninterrupted driving without the jackers. Was it killing me before? No. Is it much improved now? Absolutely. The jackers seem to be a great upgrade for the boost in comfort they can provide to some. I’m sure it’s been a more significant upgrade for others, and I can see how it’s an absolute ‘no thank you’ for others. Really a case of you just have to try them to know if it’s for you.

I’m in Detroit and a long trip is just the name of the game when it comes to getting out to the good camping spots and trails here in this part of the country.

I have a 5 ish hour trip planned this coming week up to the Georgian Bay area in Ontario and looking forward to getting that drive under my belt with the jackers to fully understand how they affect my comfort on a longer drive.

They weren't for me. Ran them for about 4 days then removed them. I'm between 5'7" and 5'8", middle of the road leg to torso ratio. Being on the shorter side I run my seat more forward than a taller person. That brings the 1.25" rise more to bear. A taller person with the seat more to the rear gets the nice change in seat angle without so much rise. I just felt sort of jammed up against the steering wheel and didn't find the increased seat angle all that great. I know there are others my size that love them. About a week before installing I'd done a couple of 7 hour driving days (my first long drives in this new-to-me truck) and didn't find the seats uncomfortable coming from 20 years in an '04 Tacoma. Just my two cents.
