I have a split bench seat in my 95 Xtra cab. When I pull the lever the seat back releases and folds forward but the seat no longer moves to the full forward position. If I pull the lever under the seat it moves forward and back as normal. So is there a cable that connects the two functions? As always TIA.

Is anything behind the seat not allowing the rear lower part of the seat free range of movement.

Something stuck in the hardware could cause the same problem

With my Access Cab this happens all the time.

No the seat moves freely. Just that the seat doesn't move forward when I release the seat back.

    It was a idea !

It has been some time .

I know there was linkage that moved the cable allowing the seat assemble to slide fully forward .

Some were a cable other just a pawl that caught the cable it sort of blends all together.

Dont know the magic answer, but I'd be inclined to remove the seat and examine everything up on a bench.

I'd assume a sticking mechanism. If you pull the seat out of the truck you can better examine how it is designed to function. I'm betting identifying cleaning and possibly lubricating a few parts will remedy your issue.
