NEW OWNER HERE, WANTING TO SWAP FRONT SEATS WITH SOME WAY BETTER SEATS FROM A SUBARU WRX. MY QUESTIONS IS THE AIR BAGS. IS THERE ANY WAY TO BY-PASS THE SEAT BAGS AND THE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR? CAN THE BAGS FRON THE SUBARU SEATS BE CONNECTED TO EXISTING HARNESS? I WOULD JUST AS SOON DISABLE THE SEAT BAGS ALL TOGETHER BUT WOULD STILL NEED THE PASSENGER BAG TO WORK AS DESIGNED.ANY HELP WOUL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Depending on the year of the donor Subaru WRX, some have bladder type occupant detection sensor in the passenger seat and some have the more complex linbus occupant detection sensor in the passenger seat. Just something to consider. You didn't mention what year the donor Subaru WRX is. Your access cab is going to have the linbus occupant detection sensor.

Thank you for the reply I believe my seats came out of a 2011 but I will have to verify that The brackets will be the easiest part the airbags are a whole other story I would love to just delete them hoping to find a way to do that

No worries. There is always a way to make it all work depending how much effort you want to put into it.

I was into the Subaru WRX/STi scene years ago. Seat swaps were pretty popular with those back then and I think it was perhaps 2007 onward that went linbus. Before that was bladder but again been too long since I owned and wrenched on Subarus so I am sure I am wrong.
