Stumped with a seat swap I'm doing in my 2013 Tacoma regular cab. Swapped the bench out for two 2013 bucket seats. The driver side went in perfect and the airbag and seat sensors all plugged back in one for one. He passenger side...not so much. There are two connectors that come from the wiring harness to the seat. The yellow connect plugged right into the yellow airbag connection on the bucket seat. The problem I now have is a black connection from the wiring harness and a gray connector on the seat. Obviously they don't match. This is causing the pannseger seat warnkng light to be active. Is there and adapter I need? What am I missing? Any help is appreciated. I am converting the truck for a theme build and need the buckets versus the bench. Thanks. I can include pictures of the connectors tomorrow.

Remove the inflator and wiring from your bench seat and install in the passenger bucket seat.Pretty easy.

To get the seat belt lights completely off I left them in the truck and used dummy buckels that keeps them off

Is this a cover? If so, where did you get it from?

No. I had Sue (from Fast and Loud) do them for me. She has done a ton of work for me in the past.

The white is the current look of the truck. The render beneath it is the digital wrap we will do next week. You can see the seats are part of the same theme.

Did the new seats come out of a single cab truck?

Don't single cab trucks have a dash switch to turn off passenger air bag. X-cabs and 4 door cabs have weight sensors in passenger seats, but no dash switch.

I'm just tossing darts here, i have 1st gen Tacoma, so not sure, but want to learn.

Usually I see people swap for regular cab buckets which I do believe are plug and play.

Ok...pulled the entire seat harness and seat "computer" from under the bench seat and have the entire harness, weight pad (to see if someone is sitting in the bench seat) and all the seat belts sitting in the truck hooked up. Still have both the airbag dash light on and the passenger airbag light on. The only thing left on the bench seat are the 2 rail sensors that check the seat position to make sure they aren't too close to the airbag. I guess I'll have to get those off and try and hook them up too. If that doesn't clear it, I'm completely stumped. What would you all recommend from that point? Anyone know of a custom shop in Dallas that can check into this and clear this type of issue? Thanks for any assist.

Did your bucket seats have the magnetic switches to shut the air bags off if the seat is all the way forward? I had 3 connections under the passenger seat, the yellow air bag, the weight sensor in the seat and the magnet on the slides.

I believe so. The only thing I haven't switched over is the magnetic switch. The ones on the bucket won't plug into the cable harness. I'm guessing since the rail setup is different than the bench seat they used a slightly different connector. I'll swap them out this weekend and hopefully I will have this solved. Thanks!

I just put a piece of 1/8 inch steel flat sock in each one and left the on the floor. I put aftermarket seats in mie and had to transfer the weight sensor pad. It really isnt to bad you could just swap the sensors from seat to seat

I secured the rail sensors to the metal parts under the seat.Never had an airbag light.
