When I had my old 4 runner seats they wanted 500 a seat to completely redo and the Toyota fabric
    is not able anymore.

I would call the number on the video and ask for photos, it will be hard to find seats with less miles than these. I’m betting the seat are the 4runner style buckets and not the generic buckets.
Here are the two different types. I had both of these and the ones with the bolsters were a lot better

Yes, the dilemma is finding the material. I like to keep the truck original as much as possible.

it would be nice with a direct fit Tacoma seat, so I can just swap my cushions and fabric over to other frame
the 4Runner seats i am thinking that a few mods are needed to bolt in

Well if these seats were the correct color these would be your ticket then.

    i think my fabric was only used on 95.5, 96, 97 SR5s?
a 96 just popped up for sale on one of these 1st gen sections threads
... have not yet seen on TW any 98-04s with same color & pattern

looking at toyotapartsdeal.com i have found a few 'pieces' available for the seat track assembly, springs and the like
not sure if any of those is worth more of my time looking into

New seats covers from Toyota - no longer available, no remaining existing stock.
Seats with correct "oak" color/pattern from salvage yards - everything I find is in worst condition than mine.
Purchase of new original material from Detroit Books - No clear listing for a '96
Upholstery shop repair - would need new material

I found new OEM covers about 5 years ago should have purchased them then. However the damage to my seat wasn't that bad then and new covers were quite expensive, (about $700 per cover if I remember correctly).

That's where I got to earlier this year. My motive was to protect the originals that are in good condition. So I decided to get some nice precision fit canvas seat covers and call it done.

I’ll post pics there is two ways to fix this issue that @GQ227 was asking me about one is using energy suspension bushings under the seat rail where the factory one tears. The other is a maybe for some guys there is a ring bushing for the rear of the seat that essentially needs to be exactly like stock and if you have a pep boys around you then you have to buy one from a company called help, the bushing is too big but fits, fwiw. The squeak is from a torn seat bushing and it’s bugged my friends and I w/our tacos for years until I found the fix then my friends made different versions of it because of availability.

This will stop that annoying squeak. Btw this required throwing away the trashed bushing that was there and torn.
