Using the store finder on Recaro's website, apparently the closest dealer to me is 800 miles away. FML

Incredibly pleased. The seats are amazing and the installation very clean. As for service, I'm from Raleigh, so they set up an inexpensive car rental for me and even dropped me off there and picked me up so I didn't have to spend all day at the shop. I took a customer in Charlotte out to lunch that day. I highly recommend them.

    Hi all,

I do about 2-8 hr drives weekly in my 2001 Tacoma for work and rough 2hrs daily. I'm constantly 4x4'ing for hours for my job or sitting in the cab waiting a lot and I have terrible on upper back pain from previous bad decisions. I've been looking at the Recaro Expert M for a long time for extra support and I'm at a point where I can pull the trigger... But I have an issue.

I'm 6'2.5" and weigh 195-210 lbs roughly 21-22" shoulder to shoulder... does anyone have an experience being near this size with these seats? It would be a bummer to order some and realize they don't fit my size.

I'm planning on contacting the manufacturer as well.

    Thanks

Totally off topic, where did you find your black carpet and black steering wheel wrap? I'm beginning the process of acquiring everything to turn my whole interior black

I found a set of 2004 Celica seats at the junkyard, and used Corbeau brackets to install them.

    I have a single cab 2004 PreRunner.

    $150.

Picked up this pair of 2009 Lexus IS-250 seats on marketplace for $200. They have seat heater and blower functions but I only isolated power to the seat motors for now. The base is definitely thicker than stock seats so I’m sitting higher up, but I’m 5’ 9” and still have about 5” above my head to the ceiling of the cab.

I chopped off the legs off the lexus seats with an angle grinder and bolted on the legs from my stock seats (I don’t have a welding machine).

They’re very comfortable. I’m still working out how to get all the electronics to work.

Fairly different. I cut the mounts off the sto
Seats and welded a 1” wife piece is steel to bridge the gap in pacing difference.

However, I’ve found them to be slightly too tall so I’m going to cut them off and mount them as low as I can.

Installed Corbeau seat brackets and Corbeau Moab seats replacing the original bench seat. Really like these seats, took a couple thousand miles for the seats to break in, very nice now.
