Anybody wish the seat was wider. I'm not a large guy 6'1" 215 and I noticed on a long trip the sides of the seat witch rise up pinch the outer thighs and is really uncomfortable. I measured the flat section of the seat and it's only 12" with the rest of the width being the area on each side that rises up. I fit into my 17" racing seat better than this. Any future in getting a wider seat, this can't be normal I've never had this problem in any other vehicle.

    6" 2" 200lb here. No issues.

Everyone asks for pics of the problem at hand, and we all know what the seat looks like, so...

Edit, with a TW pro tip: Post this back up Friday.

jmneill just took some measurements of my other cars. Camrey 13" flairs out to 14, Civic 12" flairs out to 13.5" and Altima 12.5 flairs out to 14" Tacoma 12" flairs out to 13". Well those are the numbers, maybe it's the height of the sides.

I installed Wet Okole seat covers @ 200 miles. They're not cheap, and they are no doubt hot during a southern summer, but what they do bring to the table is an additional 1/2" of neoprene cushion that might help you out.

Something to consider.. Maybe kill two birds with one stone, if you haven't already purchased seat covers and have a few bucks to throw at the problem. YMMV.
