I find it typical that members from NY,MA AND IL are so appalled that some of us choose not to wear our seat belts in defiance of the State.

Personally I wear mine all the time as it's both a smart thing to do and the law in MO. I don't want a ticket for something that dumb. I would also really like to deactivate my buzzer since my lab pup sets it off when she rides shotgun now (Side note I think the trigger for that damn buzzer is 30lbs). If someone doesn't want to wear their seatbelt its fine with me as long as they can afford to fix their own dumb ass if it goes through the windshield.

I must be a super, special person. The fist mod I do is disable the seat belt chime. I never forget to wear my seat belt.

Not really, I grew up in lower NY where the taxes are much worse.

    1. When doing wildlife photography in and out of my car on dirt roads.
    2. Heavy camera bag on my front seat sets the alarm off.

Don't know how much those cost but I got a little seatbelt clip for my dog that snaps right in to the receptacle and then has a little nylon lead on it that hooks to her harness. Cost like $8 on Amazon and you could cut the leash part off if you didn't want it.

All kidding aside, the extender will make it much easier for a heavier person to buckle up. Pretty much anyone over 200 lbs.

The extender is 20$ each, and would seem to have no downside. Plug them in once and set forever with no alarm.

Maybe on the aggregate statewide level. Remember NY is a much larger state and everything downstate is offset by everything upstate.

Although I'm not one for more laws, I think NH should have a seatbelt law because it would entitle the state to a greater share of federal highway funds. Right now we lose out on a portion of federal highway funding because we don't have a seatbelt law.

I just ordered 2 extenders. Problem solved as long as the ones they send me fit.

SJC, i see some less expensive ones on the link you sent me ... too late. And the bottle opener combo alarm stop for those times you really want to break the law.

Got my seatbelt extenders from Greattravelstore. They work great, you don't even know they are there. Even though I am a skinny guy, they seem to make the belt a bit more comfy.

I say they will. The one I bought for my 2015 Chevy Colorado I traded in is in my new Tacoma. I got mine from the source,

    http://www.seatbeltextenderpros.com/

Do a Google search on "Seat Belt Extenders Coupon" looks like they have 50% off this month, (April) Jay I realize it is to late to help you but it may help someone else.

Jay whatever you do don't let anybody on this forum know you occasionally don't wear your seatbelt. The nannies on this site will report you to your medical insurance company, state police, FBI and the IRS.
