My seatbelt light in dash and aurbag light came on in my dash while driving. Both driver and passenger have seat belts on and still won't go off any ideas?

I have an idea. Take it to the dealer. The truck is brand new. Let them figure it out.

I do hope you will report what they found and what it took to replace.

Well yes however I'm currently out in the truck and will not be able to go to dealer for a few days. Just wanted to see if anyone had ideas

The only thing I can suggest is to.reset the computer by disconnecting the battery.

Looking at pages 46 and 47 of the manual, it was not of much help as it shows if both lights are on there is a malfunction in the system.
If that is the case it states that the passenger airbag and pass. knee airbag are deactivated. It looks like you do not have any other options other than try as stated above with the battery disconnect, but it would probably come back on. Also, in doing the battery disconnect if it did clear the issue, then the dealer will say ¨could not duplicate¨, then you could be left driving with a potential faulty system until those lights come back on.
If it were mine I would drive it as little as possible, especially without a passenger, until you can take it to the dealer.

Battery did not fix the issue. I will attempt to go in before work but I work nights so not sure how I'm gonna be able to it. Thankfully though I don't drive my own truck on my work weekends. Pretty bummed though that a truck with 3500 miles is having an issue that can be as drastic as airbags not functioning.

We see this all the time in the collision industry. Customer comes back in a couple months and is all pissed off . Almost 99 percent of the time it's due to stuff jammed under the front seats.

I wouldn´t say this is drastic just yet. Possibly just a loose connection on a sensor. Have you or anyone happened to slide something under the front seats, or put seat covers on recently?

It’s probably a faulty sensor, should be an easy fix for the dealer.

There's absolutely nothing under either of my seats. Expect a crap ton of wires and harnesses.

    I bet there's a reason.

No and no. The only thing I can think of would be the lights came on about 10 min after I hit a pothole. I know it wasn't immediately because I was looking at the dash while running my check on 4x4 and locker since I've heard it's good to engage it every so often.

Ok then a quick scan will make short work of it .
Well at least the diagnosis. An easy fix though.

Ignore me, i'm just passing a bad dad joke off on ya. Good luck getting it straightened out. I do see a dealer visit in your future. Good news is though, no way you hear "it's normal".

    Maybe.

Yeah I'm gonna see if I can swing it tomorrow. Just throws off my schedule though since I'll have to get up early and hope they fix it in time to get home and to work.

I'm sure you can sweet talk Toyota into a loaner. That is a pretty big deal not having airbags that work.

Call ahead. Make an appointment. Get confirmation of a loaner for a warranty safety issue.

Go about your day and pick up after repairs are completed.
