Hi guys, my son Adam lives in downtown Seattle and has a 2004 Tacoma 4x4 that has the pins on the calipers on the front brakes frozen up. He had it to the Toy garage and they wanted over $900 to replace the calipers, they wouldn't attempt to free up the old pins. He has only lived there a few years and doesn't know any good honest mechanics to have this fixed and I was wondering if a TacomaWorld member has a reference. Thanks for any help. Bruce

Is the truck driveable? I know several good mechanics in the North Seattle/Mountlake Terrace area.

The truck is drivable. The front pads need changed and the rotors could stand a cut. I did a yelp search and since he lives in Capitol Hill area, Fifteenth Avenue garage came up as a recommended mom and pop type shop. Please shoot me some mechanic's names if they are in the area. Thanks for the replies.
