At the prompting to stop posting ski and board meet ups on the Northwest meetup thread, here is a new one just for the sliding die hards!

Ok guess I'm going. I may or may not meet you @ safeway, but will try to track you down. I'll more than likely be driving my truck.

Was fun! Snow was ok, had a good 1st day of the season with @bobsuruncle and another buddy. Wow! Legs gave out fast! ( except Bob) going early was the right call, cuz about noon, EVERYONE hit the slopes. Good thing we got runs in early!
BTW- @bobsuruncle= seriously competent boarder, and all around fun to go with! I see some Baker trips in the future!

Baker was fun Friday, it dumped snow the whole time we were up there. It was a little wet and heavy but good for the first trip of the year. It made me realize how out of shape I really am though.

I'm heading up Monday to Stevens to see how the snow is there, hoping some good snow stacks up tonight.

Quite a few modded tacomas up at crystal today. Parked next to a green one with king suspension. Oh and the powder was great earlier in the day. My first time up this season and my legs are super sore.

On the way home there was a ram that went into the ditch. Not sure what happened, but hopefully everyone is alright. I noticed cable chains on the rear tires. I thought it was absolutely unnecessary to run chains today, for any car. Maybe to get out of your parking spot for some, but that's it.

Damn.....I just spent the last week in Seattle, with lots of down time on my project, and nothing to do. If only I'd seen this before getting back to Ohio today.

Today, I learned that if you use a wash in waterproofing in your ski clothes, then wash a load of towels after, the residual waterproofer will waterproof your towels, rendering them useless. After 3 more washes, the towels are finally starting to absorb again!

Thinking of doing this at Baker in either Feb or March Anyone interested? It's pricey, and may have to arrange lodging, but what price safety?

That doesnt sound like a bad price. Since it includes lift tickets.

I really need to take Avy 1 again. Its been a few years. Then again the last three winters i havent really been in WA.

Let me think about it for Christmas. We arent doing anything family wise till ~4pm so could do a half day sort of thing. But I have to see how much I get done on wiring with the truck after work today first.

Still undecided...i hate going for half days! Mostly cause its ~4hr + of driving for me.

But Stevens will be more or less untracked. Snoqualmie will be untracked. Both hi ways are closed all day today (well US2 might open now)

Crystal has been good from what Ive heard. But i guess it was a slow drive home for people last night. Cause of this.....

heard everyone was ok thankfully. That big fucking tree fell down in front of them.
