It was a good day today up at stevens! only said 2" overnight which might have been true but there was still tons of pockets all over. especially the backside. Snowed from 9am till I left and I had 4-6" on the truck and it was still coming down. Basically no lines all day long so really racked up the laps. (longest line was like 6 chair wait). was supposed to meet up with someone but ended up being solo the whole day which was fun. no thinking where to go or what lift to take I literally just went wherever the was the fewest people lol.

On another note us2 was a shit show going east when I left. two semis broke down plus an accident or two plus a broke down full size rv. and I've never seen so much truck traffic on 2 before. was a good 30 or 40 of em. was just weird as usually traffic going east isn't bad in the afternoons. road wasn't that bad either....packed snow where it wasn't plowed

I need advice on a snowboard. I dont care about doing crazy tricks or rails or anything like that. Just lookin for a board that will go down the mountain nicely, good quality, and great for chill riding. I would hope the board can do small "jumps" if they are in the way (nothing crazy, only like 2-3 ft of air if any at all). I care more about carving back and forth and enjoyin the ride. can you guys shed some light on these?

    http://www.peterglenn.com/product-compare

EDIT: lookin for a 158 and my boot size is 11.5. do I need a "wide" board?

    ok. changed it up slightly.

i went with the Ride - Manic Board, Ride LX bindings (the EX were only M and i needed a L), and I got thirtytwo STW BOA boots

buddy of mine was a snowboard instructor in WI, with me now in GA and said i wouldn't be disappointed with that set up. pumped to get out there!!!

Ok fellas! Any weekend in January after the 8th is wide open for us! Let's get a date set (so it's in my calendar, and my husbands syncs it to see not to make other plans)! I'll bring my own recipe of Crock-Pot Chili Stew & Hot Cocoa for all!

    Possibly a snow run before/after?!?

I'm not sure many will want to board and snow wheel. I personally would want to board/ski all day. Plus snow runs can take much longer than planned as well. Something to keep in mind but I'm def down for both just on different days

Went up for the 1st time this year to kick off my 43rd consecutive ski season, and 48th overall. ( took a few years off to play secret squirrel with my USN buddies)
    All I can say is
    LACTIC ACID BUILD UP!!! AAAUGGHHHHhhhh!
This is the first year in forever that I didn't start doing squats in September, as I was teaching, and thought that 2 hours of martial arts every night would suffice.
    WRONG!
Getting old has its upside and its downside.
