Does anyone go boarding or skiing during the week Mon-Thursday? I work weekends and have been here 2 years and still haven't boarded here.

Hey peeps! Still planning on the 14th @ Crystal!

Sorry, I couldn't get back to you all sooner. Just got a promotion and have been working/learning so much new stuff, kept me super busy.

I still plan on bringing my Chili Stew! The only thing I need to figure out is where to set up 'shop' once there. I've heard that they're really cracking down on the 'no outside food' offenders. I know they have a 'brown-bag' area, just not sure if there's plugs for the crockpot there, or even if it's a heated area. I read that the tables are outside? It's been quite a while for me since my last visit to Crystal (4-5 yrs)...

the only solution I could think of is to have a portable power station in my taco bed hooked up with the crockpot plugged in... Then meet at a specific time for food?

EDIT: Or I could chill in the lounge w/all our gear while you all get your grub on out the back of my Taco..?

Downstairs by the rest rooms is the brown bag area, and I think there are a few plugs. Bring an extension cord. It's a family area so no alcohol can be consumed down there. ( I don't drink till after I ski but I know some do)

Ok. So what I plan on doing is to try to get there early enough to get a parking spot closest to the main Lodge. Crockpot hooked up to portable power in back of truck. Chill inside with my book/tablet/cards, all our gear, and relax. Once everyone is there, determine a meal time. Then all meet up for tailgate lunch.

    Thoughts?

sounds like a plan. Ive never been, but surely there is no issues if we eat lunch at the trucks, thats what I did a snowshoe mtn in NC.

Also, there is no re-entry fee if we go the the trucks and want to get back in to hit the slopes again correct?

on a third note, house hold goods arrive tomorrow morning, so once the house starts getting squared away, this guy is lookin to hit the slopes before the 14th event so I know the routes if anyone else is interested haha

Awesome! No re-entry fees. Just the initial lift ticket purchase. I can't ski/snowboard due to medical issues, so just chill inside and just basically hang out! I'm a cheap date since there's no cost to just hang out! Hubby likes that, but would prefer if I could join on the slopes. Maybe one day...

I went to stevens yesterday with some guys from work. LOVE the board set up and to me, stevens seemed great (I come from snowboarding in the mtns of NC, so these are much larger and better haha) but my friends said they like crystal more. it took a couple runs to get back in the swing of things but I finally got back to carving heel and toe side down the blues. did (2) black diamonds and didnt really enjoy them since I took a lot of time slowing down and even sliding back and forth down a few parts. def way comfortable on the blue squares at stevens and probably on the next trip do a little better on the single black diamonds (some of those at stevens were wicked steep!)

looking forward to trying crystal out. hopin the wife still lets me leave her and the baby at the house for another saturday in a row :fingerscrossed:

Crystal is better than baker, baker is better than Stevens, stevens is miles ahead of snoqualmie/alpental. Basically the run down of resorts here
