Seattle area ski and board meet ups

My husband (well, his work anyway) seems to always muck things up! Since he took off this last weekend to take care of me after my surgery, he will most likely have to work this coming weekend. Stupid work.
I will let you all know as soon as I find out for sure.

I don't want to leave you guys hungry, so if we can't make it to the mountain, I'll still make my Chili Stew and send it up with one of you guys (portable power set-up and all so it stays hot!) so you can still have a delicious, hot meal while there! If I can't make it, at least lunch can!

 

No way baker is second to Crystal imo. Baker has a lot to offer, and their boundary rules are friendlier than any other areas. The consequences of your actions are a bit more dire at baker, yet all areas can be that way did you don't know where to avoid.

 

No sweat! We can ski then go to the Elk or Naches Tavern!

 

Agreed. Different areas. Baker has better hike to skiing, Crystal awesome but less consequences if u screw up.

Thinking about running up to Whistler between the 23-25th. Never been there just wanted to see if there are any must try places to eat or places to go while I'm there?

 

Umbertos, Elements,Araxis, the French crepery for breakfast. Umbertos and araxi very expensive, elements less$ but fantastic food and tapas, good breakfasts. Our fave by far.
Apres hot wings at the Longhorn. For something different, try the Australian meat pie shop!

Hahaha. I'm leaving the girlfriend home for this trip as she's never skied or boarded and I don't want stay on the bunny hill when I go. I found a place to stay that's walking distance to the gondola. Can you buy passes the day before anywhere up there?

 

Seems like everyone has to work this weekend. My husband got sent down at 3am to Portland to help out with the storm/snow damage. Looks like it's going to be an uneventful weekend for most here.
