Can't cut wages? The entire construction workforce (which is unionized) in Victoria BC, cut there wages from $32.50 to $25. Plus cut our $2 an hour RSP PLAN and cut many people's pensions in half.

This change was supported by our union so the companies could maintain a "competitive edge in the industry". Definitely some back room deals going on. Real shady business. The money is going in someone's pocket. And it's the company owners.

I'm a gun owner and I don't think there's anything wrong with guns but I don't get people making comments fantasizing about civil wars or killing people for their rights. It's like people want to find something they can justify going to war over. minimum wage is too high - let's grab our guns and shoot people because we need to take a stand...

I'm really not saying it was meant seriously but those kind of comments make psychos think people agree with them when they go and shoot a bunch of innocent people over some batshit crazy agenda or conspiracy theories.

Especially when people up here are already talking about changing our already strict gun laws after the shooting in New Brunswick.

It's like those morons doing the open carry demonstrations in Texas. It's a good cause but the way they go about it makes things much worse for all gun owners by making us look crazy by association.

This all starts early with things like the "everyone gets a trophy in this league" mentality. Everyone should get a great wage no matter what you do.

I have to say I do tend to agree with you on that part. This participation trophy stuff is for the birds. Why should someone try hard if they know that they are going to get the same thing that the person who did 2 or 3 years of college is going to get? And in that same aspect, why go to 2-3 years of college if at the end you will make the same as the guy in high school, and have a mountain of debt!
